We have twelve games today with the first pitch at 7:05 PM EST. Today’s slate of games is highlighted by Manny Machado and the San Diego Padres, taking on Tyler O’Neill and the St. Louis Cardinals in St. Louis. The highest implied run totals tonight sit with the Boston Red Sox (6.4), Chicago White Sox (5.6), and the New York Yankees (5.6).
The weather looks good across the board today, with less than a 10 percent chance of rain for the rest of the games today.

Lucas Giolito – P ($10,400) – We are going to go to another White Sox starter today. Giolito has the highest upside of any of their starts, and he hasn’t given up more than three runs in any of his last six starts, which gives him a nice floor provided he can get through five innings.
Elias Díaz – C ($3,800) – Díaz is a player who is trending in the right direction. He has hits in each of the last seven games he has started, with three home runs and three doubles in that stretch (most of which have been on the road). He is a solid value on a day when you will likely find yourself paying up for starting pitching.
Brendan Rodgers– 2B ($3,700) – Rodgers extended his hitting streak to five games yesterday. In those five games, he has three multi-hit games, three home runs and a double. He will face a Nationals’ starter today who has an ERA over four so don’t be surprised if we get another nice game from Rodgers.
Xander Bogaerts – SS ($4,800) – Getting Bogaerts under 5k, when the Red Sox has a high implied run total is a good buy. He has hits in each of his last five games, with three of those games being of the multi-hit variety, and he is coming off a big day yesterday.
Tyler O’Neill – OF ($4,200) O’Neill is back hitting home runs again. He has three home runs in his last four games, and he has ten hits in his last eleven games overall.

The Pitchers
José Berríos ($9,300 DK) Berríos is coming off a performance against the Rays where he gave up just four hits and one run. He hasn’t given up more than three runs in any of his last four starts, and we have also seen his strikeout as many as eleven batters in that stretch as well.
Sandy Alcantara ($10,200 DK) – Alcantara has been very good in his last few starts. He has only given up five hits total in his last two starts and striking out 21 batters. He has struck out more than 10 batters in three of his last five starts as well, and he will face a Pirates lineup that doesn’t have a whole lot of punch to it.
J.A. Happ ($7,400 DK) Happ continues to perform well for the Cardinals. In his last start he only gave up two hits, and he has given up two runs or less in three of his last five starts, and he will face a Padres lineup today that continues to struggle.
The Value Players
Bobby Dalbec – 1B ($3,700) – Dalbec has hits in four straight games, and in those four games, he has two doubles and two home runs. His spot in the Red Sox lineup isn’t ideal, but with them expected to score lots of runs today, he may not keep him from getting five at-bats.
Jarred Kelenic- OF ($3,500) – In spite of Kelenic not doing much yesterday, he is a player that is still worth looking at with his price. He has been hitting recently and hitting for power, and on a day when you will you need some bargains, he fits the bill.
Dylan Carlson- OF ($3,000) – Much like Kelenic, I’m going to buy back in on Carlson today. The Padres are going to go to Jake Arrieta today who has an ERA over seven, so the Cardinals should score runs and you’re going to get Carlson at 3k.
The Stacks
Boston Red Sox – We talked about Dalbec and Bogaerts, and with the Red Sox facing a lefty today, I would be looking to get Hunter Renfroe into the mix who traditionally crushes lefties.
St. Louis Cardinals – The Cardinals are a really nice value today to stack today. We discussed Carlson and O’Neill, but you can also add Tommy Edman or Edmundo Sosa at a fairly low cost and have a nice stack.
Chicago White Sox – The White Sox are an interesting play today. I would go with Jose Abreu, Luis Robert, and Romy Gonzalez. All three have been hitting and Gonzalez is a really nice value play under $2,500.
