Welcome back. Today’s main slate has twelve games. The teams with the highest implied runs scored totals tonight are the Dodgers, Yankees, and Rockies so keep them in mind when picking players. We will keep you abreast of the juiciest matchups and make sure you know who to keep your eye on.
Today’s free pick comes from the Royals with Salvador Perez ($4,900 on DK, $3,100 on FD). Perez has multi-hit games in each of his last five games, and in that time has accumulated four doubles and two home runs. That kind of production can be a difference-maker when it’s coming from your catcher. He will be facing a Brewers team tonight that has given up more than five runs per game over the last week.
Behind the paywall expect to find high value plays that are notably well priced on DraftKings and FanDuel. We have two pitchers, infielders and outfielders that we love for today’s main slate of games. And we’ve got more.
Pitching DFS Picks for September 18th, 2020
We are going to look at the Astros for pitching. Zach Plesac ($8,500 on DK, $10,400 on FD). Plesac will be facing a Tigers team tonight that is striking out nearly 32 percent of the time over the last 5 days. Plesac struggled a bit in his last time out, but I look for him to bounce back tonight against a Tigers team that has started to struggle.
Our second pitching choice today is Chris Paddack ($8,800 on DK, 8,200 on FD) of the Padres. Paddack has been very inconsistent this year, but he will be facing a Mariners team tonight that is striking out just over 30 percent of the time in the last week and has a team batting average of 0.224 in that same time frame. This should be a matchup that Paddack can take advantage of.
Infield DFS Picks for September 18th, 2020
Miguel Andujar ($3,900 on DK, $2,500 on FD) has hits in five of his last six games which includes three multi-hit games, and four extra-base hits(two doubles, a triple and a home run). Andujar is being used almost exclusively against left-handed pitching and will be facing Martin Perez and the Red Sox tonight.
The other infield play today is Edwin Rios ($3,400 on DK, $3,100 on FD) of the Dodgers. In the last two games that Rios has played, he has hit a home run, including last night. With the Dodgers back in Colorado tonight, getting a reasonably priced player like Rios can go a long way to building a nice stack in Coors tonight when many of the Dodgers will see inflated prices.
Outfield DFS Picks for September 18th, 2020
Jackie Bradley Jr. ($3,400 on DK, $2,400 on FD) has hits in each of his last five games, including three doubles and two steals. He will be facing a left-handed pitcher tonight, which he has had a lot of success with and shown more power against as well. Look for Bradley to have a good night.
Kole Calhoun ($4,100 on DK, $3,100 on FD) has been hot in his last games. In those games, he hit six hits, three home runs and a double. Look for him to be a sneaky play tonight. He shouldn’t see high ownership going against Zack Grienke, but Grienke has given up at least three runs in each of his last five starts and has given up four and five runs respectively in this last two.
