We have fifteen games today with the first pitch at 7:05 PM EST. Today’s slate of games is highlighted by Fernando Tatis Jr. and the San Diego Dodgers, taking on Paul Goldschmidt and the St.Louis Cardinals in St.Louis. The highest implied run totals tonight sit with the Boston Red Sox (6.3), Milwaukee Brewers (5.5), and the Houston Astros (5.5).

The weather looks good across the board today, with less than a 10 percent chance of rain for the rest of the games today.

Here is a selection of today’s Core Players 50-50 MLB DFS lineup for 9/17/21 (using DraftKings Values)

 PitcherWalker Buehler $10,200
 Pitcher
 Catcher
 First BasePaul Goldschmidt $4,200
 Second Base
 Third BaseRafael Devers $5,300
 Short Stop
 OutfieldKris Bryant $4,600
 OutfieldKyle Tucker $4,700
 Outfield

Walker Buehler – P ($10,200) – As expected Buehler returned to form in his previous start. Today he will face a Reds team that suddenly is struggling on offence, just be aware there is some blow-up risk pitching in Cincinnati which is a park known for giving up home runs.

Paul Goldschmidt – 1B  ($4,200) – Goldschmidt has hits in three straight games, with two doubles and three home runs in those games. He will face Vince Velasquez tonight who owns an ERA near 6, and who gives 1.5 walks or hits per inning on average as well.

Rafael Devers – 3B ($5,300) – While Devers only has two hits in his last three games he is still worth paying up for with the Red Sox expected to score a lot of runs going up against the Orioles today.

Kris Bryant – OF  ($4,600) – Coming into today Bryant has had multi-hit games in three of his last five games, with two doubles and a home run in his last three games.

Kyle Tucker – OF ($4,700) Tucker has been one of the best players this season that no one has been talking about. He has five hits in his last two games with two doubles and a home run.

The Pitchers

Dylan Cease ($9,100 DK) Amazingly Cease has given up exactly four hits in each of his last six starts. When he limits his walks he is very effective, and with him facing a weak Texas lineup, we should see another good start with lots of strikeouts.

Hyun-Jin Ryu ($8,600 DK) – Lately it seems that Ryu either gets blown up, or he has a good start, but with the way the Blue Jays have been playing recently he can still get a win if he can go five innings and give up four runs or less.

Kris Bubic ($6,400 DK) As a GPP play, there is a lot to like about Bubic. He will face a Mariners team that isn’t hitting right now(0.236 team batting average over the last two weeks.) so he could be a good low-cost play.

The Value Players

Austin Nola – C  ($2,800) – Nola is a player who looks to be heating up. He has five hits in his last two games with two doubles, and you can get him for less than 3k.

Elvis Andrus- SS ($3,200) – In Andrus’ last three games he has seven hits with two doubles. He isn’t likely to see high ownership but if he can give you another multi-hit game then he will have no issues returning value.

Jesus Sánchez- OF ($2,800) – Sanchez is coming off a two-home run game, and he has five home runs in his last six games. He will have a good matchup again today against the Pirates and is one of the best values on the slate.

The Stacks

Toronto Blue Jays – The Blue Jays might be the hottest team in baseball right now, and a lot of that has to do with their offence. I would look at stacking Bo Bichette, with Marcus Semien, and whoever might be catching today(Kirk, or McGuire) to balance out the salary.

Boston Red Sox – We talked about Devers, and I would look to add Bobby Dalbec and Alex Verdugo with him to make a nice stack that won’t break the bank.

Houston Astros – Today I would be looking to add Jake Meyers and Carlos Correa to the previously mentioned Kyle Tucket to stack the Astros, without having to pay up to Yordan Alvarez and Jose Altuve.
