We have an eleven-game slate with first pitches at 1:05 EST. There should be lots of fun games today including Juan Soto and the Washington Nationals at Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees today. It’s Mother’s Day so enjoy the extra pink around the parks today.
We have a 40-50 percent chance of rain in Detroit this afternoon, 70-80 percent change in Cleveland, and 50 percent at game time in St. Louis but the chances are going down through the day so it’s more likely that game gets played.

Sandy Alcantara ($9,400)
Alcantara hasn’t given up more than two runs in any of his last three starts. His strikeout numbers haven’t really been there(14 combined over his last three starts), but he will be facing a Brewers team today that has struck out 27 percent of the time over the last week, so we could see Alcantara get to six or seven strikeouts today.
Tomás Nido ($2,400)
Nido has hits in three straight games, which includes a home run. As a player who is coming in near the minimum price, there is some risk, but he does have some floor, and he helps us getting some bigger bats into the lineup.
Yuli Gurriel ($4,900)
Gurriel has hits in four of his last five games, and in his last two games, he has five hits, a homerun and a double. He will face Nate Pearson of the Blue Jays today, who gave up 2.5 home runs per nine last year so don’t be surprised if there are some home runs today.
Francisco Lindor ($4,900)
It looks like Lindor has gotten things back on track over the last few days. In his last two games he has four hits, a home run, a double and a steal. This could be the start of a big upswing for Lindor.
Yordan Alvarez ($4,800)
Alvarez has five multi-hit games in his last six games. He has also hit three home-runs in his last three games as well, and will face a rookie pitcher today who has a history of giving up home-runs.

Outfield | J.D. Martinez | $5,000 |
Salary Remaining $0
Kyle Hendricks ($6,900)
Hendricks has been an effective pitcher this season when not facing the Braves. When we take the Braves out of his numbers he has a 2.45 ERA in 22 innings. He threw seven shutout innings in his last start and I suspect we will see a nice start again from him today against the Pirates.
Dylan Moore ($3,600)
Alex Bregman ($4,800)
Bregman has been feasting on the Blue Jays for the last two days, with six hits and three doubles. Today is a good day to stack the Astros facing off against a rookie starter.
Aaron Hicks ($3,200)
Coming into today’s game, Hicks has five hits in his last three starts, and he has moved up to third in the batting order as well. This is a good matchup going against Joe Ross of the Nationals who sports a ERA near five for the year.
J.D. Martinez ($5,000)
Martinez comes into today among the MLB leaders in home runs and doubles, and he will be facing a Dean Kremer of the Orioles who has a 6.43 ERA coming into todays game, and the game is also being played at Camden Yard, one of the more hitter friendly parks in the league.
Alternative Moves…
Miguel Rojas – SS ($4,400 DK) Rojas comes into today’s game, with the highest SLG in MLB over the last four days at 1.214. In those four games he has two doubles, a triple and two home runs. He is still reasonably priced as well.
Lucas Giolito– P ($9,500 DK) Giolito has had his struggles early in the season, but he does have a higher ceiling than Alcantara does today, and he won’t be facing an imposing lineup in Kansas City today, which makes him a player worth looking at today.
