Zac Gallen ($8,900)
Gallen is a a bit underrated. He comes into today’s game with a ERA of 2.16, and he is striking out 29.9 percent of the batters he is facing. He is also going to face a Colorado squad that has a slugging percentage of just 0.376 over the last week.
Alejandro Kirk ($3,500)
Kirk is coming off a two home run night, so I expect he will be back in the lineup for the Blue Jays tonight. He has hits in four straight games, and while I wouldn’t expect another big power game from him tonight, he is priced well enough that it won’t hurt you if he doesn’t.
Pavin Smith ($3,900)
In Smith’s last five games he has two multi-hit games, a home run, a double and a triple. This is a good matchup to get Arizona’s bats in as Austin Gomber gave up nine runs in one and two-thirds inning in his last start.
Josh Rojas ($4,200)
Another Arizona hitter who is coming into tonight hot. Rojas has hit home runs in back-to-back games. You’re not going to pay a huge cost to get him which is ideal considering his four extra-base hits in his last six games.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. ($3,300)
This might be as cheap as you’re going to get Gurriel this season. He has now hit home runs in back-to-back games, and six hits in his last four games as he has started to get things turned around after a cold start to the season.

Blake Snell ($9,500)
Snell’s numbers this season have been very consistent. He is likely to give you at least seven strikeouts, and give up no more than two earned runs. What makes this start even more enticing is that the Giants have been striking out nearly 28% of the time over the last week, so we could see closer to 10 strikeouts today from Snell.
Dylan Moore ($3,200)
To fit in our two high-priced pitchers we need to roll the dice on some value plays. Moore is an enticing dice roll. He has had a slow start to the season, but he had a home run and a steal yesterday, and that could be what he needed to get his season back on track. Moore’s upside is high, with a low price. That is the value we want.
Austin Riley ($4,200)
Riley has eight hits in his last four games, which includes a pair of doubles and a home run. The Blue Jays are going to use their bullpen for this game, which adds a level of variance that can play out really well for the hot-hitting Riley.
Mitch Haniger ($3,800)
Another cheap Mariners play, but with the Angels starting Griffin Canning and his 8.40 ERA, these are the values that help you have a competitive lineup. Haniger has been boom or bust this season as it seems he is either hitting the ball for extra bases or he is getting out. At this price we can be willing to buy into the upside.
J.D. Martinez ($5,500)
Martinez was among the best hitters in baseball in April. He hit nine home runs, with a slash line of 0.351/0.430/0.745. That is one heck of a month. He will start this month going against a Rangers pitching staff that isn’t great, so we could see his hitting trends continue.
Alternative Moves…
Shohei Ohtani – OF ($5,300 DK)
If you should decide that you don’t like Martinez, Ohtani isn’t a bad alternative. He has an extra-base hit in three of his last four games, and he is also capable of getting you a steal, which is a dimension you won’t get from Martinez.
Eduardo Rodriguez– P ($8,700 DK)
Rodriguez is a suitable alternative to either of todays pitchers. He is striking out 29 percent of the batters he is facing, and the Rangers, his opponent tonight, were in the bottom five in April for SLG, and WRC+ in all of baseball against left-handed pitching.
