DFS MLB Baseball Picks for June 6, 2021

Corbin Burnes DFS
MILWAUKEE, WI - SEPTEMBER 14: Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Corbin Burnes (39) throws a pitch during the second game of a double header between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Milwaukee Brewers on September 14, 2020 at Miller Park, Milwaukee, WI. (Photo by Kiyoshi Mio/Icon Sportswire)

We have a ten-game slate with first pitches at 1:05 PM EST. Today’s slate of games is highlighted by Trevor Bauer and the Los Angeles Dodgers, taking on Max Friend and the Atlanta Braves. The highest implied run totals tonight sit with the Chicago White Sox (5.4), Cleveland Indians(5.1), and Baltimore Orioles(5).

We are not seeing any weather situations that should effect any of today’s games.

Here’s our 50-50 MLB DFS lineup for 6/06/21 (using DraftKings Values)

 PitcherCorbin Burnes $11,000
 Pitcher
 CatcherTyler Stephenson $3,100
 First BaseRyan Mountcastle $3,500
 Second Base
 Third Base
 Short StopJosé Devers $2,500
 OutfieldCedric Mullins $4,000
 Outfield
 Outfield

Salary Remaining          $100

Corbin Burnes ($11,000)

Coming into today’s game, Burnes has given up two runs or less in two of his last three starts. He is striking out nearly 41 percent of the batters he faces this year, and on top of that, in the last four days the Diamondbacks(his opponent), are striking out 30 percent of the time.

Tyler Stephenson ($3,100)

Stephenson has hits in four of his last five starts, including a home run in his game on Friday. He is a solid value play today going up against John Gant of the Cardinals who is due to regress as he has outperformed his peripherals to this point in the season.

Ryan Moutcastle ($3,500)

Mountcastle has gotten hot. He has hit a home run in three straight games, and he has multi-hit games in three of his last four. This is a great price for that kind of production.

José Devers ($2,500)

When looking at value, Devers checks the boxes we are looking for. He is leading off, and he is facing a weaker opponent in the Pirates. Devers had two doubles in his game on Friday, and if we can get anything close to that he will easily exceed his value.

Cedric Mullins ($4,500)

We are paying up for what he did yesterday to an extent, given he went five for five with two home runs, but Mullins has been fantastic all year long. He has at least one hit in his last six games and three of those are multi-hit games that featured either a home run or a steal.

Here’s our full 50-50 MLB DFS lineup for 6/06/21 (using DraftKings Values)

 PitcherCorbin Burnes $11,000
 PitcherDylan Cease $9,400
 CatcherTyler Stephenson $3,100
 First BaseRyan Mountcastle $3,500
 Second BaseJonathan India $3,300
 Third BaseKe’Bryan Hayes $4,500
 Short StopJosé Devers $2,500
 OutfieldCedric Mullins $4,000
 OutfieldHarold Ramirez $3,200
 OutfieldChristian Yelich $5,400

Salary Remaining          $100

Dylan Cease ($8,900)

While Cease’s last start wasn’t great, it’s hard to pass up a matchup against the Tigers. In his last start against Detroit, he went seven innings, gave up three hits, no runs, and struck out nine.

Jonathan India ($3,300)

India comes into today’s game with three straight multi-hit games, and in those games he has hit two home runs, and two doubles, oh and did I mention he lead off yesterday?

Ke’Bryan Hayes ($4,500)

Hayes came off the IL on Friday and promptly hit a home run, and then followed that up with a double yesterday. He his hitting at the top of the Pirates lineup, and he should get lots of opportunities to get a few hits again today.

Harold Ramirez ($3,200)

There is a lot to like about Ramirez in this spot. He is hitting in the middle of the Cleveland order, and in his last three games, he has both a home run and a steal. He is a solid hitter, and at this price he is a solid value.

Christian Yelich ($5,400)

Yelich has hit a home run in two of his last three games as he looks to be getting things on track for the Brewers. He will be facing a left-handed starter in Caleb Smith today, who Yelich had a 0.638 SLG against last season.

Alternative Moves…

Juan Soto – OF ($5,200 DK) In his last five games, Soto has hit three home runs. The weather in DC is heating up and so is Juan Soto. If you aren’t willing to buy in on Yelich, Soto is a solid alternative.

Trevor Bauer– P ($10,700 DK) Bauer is always worth consideration, but heading into today, the Braves have struck out at a near 30 percent pace over the last four days.
