We have five games tonight with the first pitch at 7:05 PM EST. Today’s slate of games is highlighted by Bo Bichette and the Toronto Blue Jays, taking on Xander Bogaerts and the Boston Red Sox in Boston. The highest implied run totals tonight sit with the Detroit Tigers (5.6), Boston Red Sox (5.5) and the San Diego Padres (5.1).
We have some rain risks tonight in Pittsburgh and Boston. In Pittsburgh, the chances of rain are around 20% at game time, but then dropping after that, and in Boston, it is 22% at game time and going up, so be careful if you’re stacking Boston or Toronto in that game.

Outfield |
Freddy Peralta – P ($10,000) – Peralta has been one of the best pitchers in baseball this season. He has only given up three or more runs in three of his 18 starts this season. He will be pitching in Pittsburgh, which is one of the more pitcher-friendly parks in the league, so I would be willing tonight isn’t going to be the fourth occurrence.
Omar Narváez– C ($3,700) – Narváez has multi-hit games in three of his last four games, which includes a double and a home run. If you can get two hits out of your catcher at this price you will be happy.
Fernando Tatis Jr. – SS ($5,900) – In Tatis’ last four games he has accumulated two multi-hit games, two home runs, and a double. It is a very short slate tonight, so you should expect his ownership to be high, even at his price.
Manny Machado– 3B ($5,100) – Coming into tonight, Machado has hits in three straight games and a home run in two out of the three. He is hitting better than any of the other third-base options tonight, and he will be facing some weak Rockies pitching.
Alex Verdugo- OF ($4,000) Verdugo has hits in four straight games, with a double and a home run in that span. While I don’t love this play as much as when he was near the top of the order, the sixth spot isn’t that bad when you factor in how potent the Red Sox lineup is.

The Pitchers
Joe Musgrove ($8,200 DK) Getting the Rockies at home is a good opportunity for Musgrove to have a solid outing. He has only given up one run while striking out seventeen batters in his previous two starts this season against them.
Alex Cobb ($7,800) – In his last four starts, Cobb hasn’t given up more than two runs in any one start. The strikeout numbers aren’t always there, but on a slate as short as tonight’s, you’re not going to find everything.
Casey Mize ($6,900) – Mize has only given up more than three runs in one of his last four starts. The question here will ultimately be, can get go five innings, as he hasn’t done that in any of his last four starts. There is some risk, but in a GPP his upside and his price could make it worthwhile.
The Value Players
Rowdy Tellez – 1B ($2,600) – Tellez has hits in five straight games, with three multi-hit games, and three home runs. You’re getting him at a significant discount, and he has been hitting in the middle of the Brewers order.
Willi Castro – 2B ($3,300) – Castro has hits in four straight games, which includes a double and a triple. Castro isn’t likely to hit any home runs for you, but he is a good hitter who can get you a few hits in a game.
Hunter Renfroe – OF ($3,700) – Renfroe is almost always short looking at when he is facing a left-handed pitcher. He hits for a higher average, and more home runs against them, and you are often not having to pay up for him, much like tonight.
The Stacks
Detroit Tigers – We talked about Willi Castro, but Robbie Grossman has been playing well, and the Tigers don’t have a single-player that is 5k or more. So you can Akil Baddoo, and Eric Haase and still have some budget left.
San Diego Padres – The Padres stacks are going to be in heavy use tonight. You can get Adam Frazier for a low cost, and Trent Grisham is well priced as well to go along with Tatis and Machado.
Milwaukee Brewers – Getting Tellez near the minimum makes stacking the Brewers a lot easier. I would be looking to pair Willy Adames and Luis Urías with him for a nice value stack. Go win your lineup and tell us how you did. Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) is a good place for that.
