We have eight games tonight with the first pitch at 7:05 PM EST. Today’s slate of games is highlighted by Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Angels, taking on Nelson Cruz and the Minnesota Twins in Minneapolis. The highest implied run totals tonight sit with the Boston Red Sox (5.2), Minnesota Twins(5.2) and the Tampa Bay Rays(4.9).

The weather for tonight’s games looks good across the board without a single game having a chance of rain above 10 percent.

Here is a selection of today’s Core Players 50-50 MLB DFS lineup for 7/21/21 (using DraftKings Values)

 PitcherSean Manaea $9,600
 Pitcher
 Catcher
 First BaseMiguel Sanó $4,100
 Second BaseMax Muncy $5,700
 Third Base
 Short Stop
 OutfieldBrandon Lowe $4,600
 OutfieldJ.D. Martinez $4,400
 Outfield

Sean Manaea  – P ($9,600) – In his last five starts Manaea has given up more than three runs just once, and he has struck out at least six batters in all five appearances. He is in a good situation tonight pitching in Seattle, in a game that Oakland should win.

Miguel Sanó – 1B ($4,100) – Sanó has hits in three of his last four games and he has two doubles in that span as well. He is a player with lots of power, and with the Twins expected to be among the top-scoring teams today, getting some shares of a player like Sano can payoff.

Max Muncy 1B/2B ($5,700) – Muncy has three home runs in his last five games, and while he has a tough pitching matchup today, the Dodgers are very capable of scoring runs so in a GPP he is a player who can give you big outcomes with low ownership.

Brandon Lowe – OF ($4,600) – Lowe has two multi-hit games in his last four games. This is a good matchup, and price for Lowe as the Rays are expected to score runs tonight, and Lowe will be in either the top or the middle of the lineup.

J.D. Martinez – OF ($4,400) – J.D. has started to heat up again. He has six hits, three doubles and a home run in his last two games. Use him while you can as his price is likely to only go up from here.

The Pitchers

Luis Patiño ($6,500 DK) Patiño comes with some risk as he hasn’t often gone deep into games, but much like the Manning suggestion from yesterday, this is one where the cost is very low, and he is facing a Cleveland team that isn’t hitting right now.

Kwang Hyun Kim ($8,100) – Coming into tonight, Kim hasn’t given up a single run in his last three starts. His price is going to be low because he doesn’t strike many batters out, but this is a very winnable game for the Cardinals, and Kim shouldn’t give up a lot of runs against this Cubs team.

Walker Buehler ($10,500) – This is one of the easier picks. Buehler at home has a 2.31 ERA, and batters have hit just 0.192 against him as well. The Dodgers are always a good bet for the win, and the ownerships should be high in cash games which is a plus.

The Value Players

Kiké Hernández – 2B/OF ($3,800) – Kiké has back-to-back games with multiple doubles and multiple home runs. He is a player who hits left-handed pitching well and he will see one tonight against the Yankees.

Andrew McCutchen – OF ($3,700) – Cutch has hits in four straight games, and in his last three games, he has a double and two home runs. He hits in the middle of the Phillies order, which makes him a good value play on his own.

Christian Vázquez – C ($2,900) – It’s hard to go wrong with this price for your catcher. Vázquez has back-to-back games with at least a hit and hits in four of his last six games. At his current pricing, all you’re really hoping for is to not take a zero.

The Stacks

Minnesota Twins –Twins are one of the more stackable teams in MLB as Cruz and Donaldson are the only players who are over 5k. You can get Jorge Polanco who has started to get hot at a reasonable price and add in Max Kepler who is also starting to hit for power and have a nice stack with money left to spend.

Tampa Bay Rays – I like the Rays stacks tonight You’re going to get Meadows, Arozarena, and Lowe all for under 4k, and you can throw in a value-priced Kiermaier who is priced near the minimum.

Boston Red Sox – The Red Sox are another team with big values tonight. We talked about Hernández and Martinez, but their cost-saving will help you get either Devers in, who has been among the hottest 3B in baseball, or Bogaerts who is one of the better hitting shortstops.
