Welcome back. Tonight’s slate has seven games. The teams with the highest implied runs scored totals tonight are the Nationals, Red Sox, the Diamondbacks, so keep them in mind when picking players. We will keep you abreast of the juiciest matchups and make sure you know who to keep your eye on.

Today’s free pick comes from the Seattle Mariners. Evan White ($3,100 on DK, $2,600 on FD). The Mariners rookie has a 0.556 batting average, and a 1.111 SLG in the last week. He likely won’t see a lot of ownership in GPP contests tonight, with Dylan Bundy being the expected top pitcher on the slate. That said, the Mariners have scored the second-most runs in the last week, you shouldn’t be scared to use them tonight, and White is a great place to start.

Pitching DFS Picks for August 29, 2020

Sticking with the Mariners for this one, Justus Sheffield ($7,300 on DK, $8,300 on FD), has given up 3 runs total in his last 3 starts, going 6 innings in each of those starts. His usage likely won’t be high, so he is a prime candidate for GPP’s tonight, and a good option on DK for one of your two pitching spots.

Our second pitching choice today is Lance Lynn ($9,200 on DK, $9,500 on FD) of the Texas Rangers. Lynn gets a tough matchup tonight against the Dodgers, and he isn’t cheap but Lynn has been one of the most stable pitchers this year. Lynn hasn’t given up more than two runs in each of these last three starts, which includes a complete game performance in Colorado.

Infield DFS Picks for August 29, 2020

Trea Turner ($4,900 on DK, $3,900 on FD) might be the hottest player in baseball, he has at least one hit in 13 straight games and has a 1.139 SLG in the last week against right-handed pitching, and he will face Chris Mazza of the Red Sox today who gave up four runs in three innings in his previous start.

If you are looking for a value play today, Manny Machado ($5,600 on DK, $4,200 on FD) won’t come cheap tonight, with the Padres in Colorado. Keep in mind though, the Padres have scored more runs than any team in the league over the last 7 days, and in that span, Machado has five home runs and sixteen hits.

Outfield DFS Picks for August 29, 2020

Starling Marte ($5,000 on DK, $3,200 on FD) has been fantastic so far in his time with the Diamondbacks. He has hits in each of his last five games, and a 0.438 SLG over the last week. He is a solid cash game choice as he should be good for at least one hit against the Giants tonight.

Joc Pederson ($4,000 on DK, $2,800 on FD) has hits in each of the last 4 games he has started, and should always be in consideration against right-handed pitchers. Lance Lynn is a tough matchup, but far from un-hittable.
