Happy Friday everyone. Today’s slate has twelve games. The teams with the highest implied runs scored totals tonight are Texas, Colorado, Minnesota and the Dodgers, so keep them in mind when picking players. We will keep you abreast of the juiciest matchups and make sure you know who to keep your eye on.
Today’s free pick comes from the Houston Astros. Alex Bregman ($5,700 on DraftKings, $3,900 on FanDuel) comes at a high price but he has a 0.750 SLG this year versus left-handed pitching and will face Yusei Kikuchi of the Mariners tonight. Kikuchi, gave up five runs and lasted just 3.2 innings in his last outing versus the Astros. Bregman had a double, a walk, and RBI, and scored a run in that game.
Pitching DFS Picks For August 10, 2020
If you’re looking to pay up for pitching tonight, Gerrit Cole ($10,400 on DraftKings, $11,000 on FanDuel) is your guy. He is facing the Red Sox tonight who has struck out 26 percent of the time over the last week and Cole is coming off an outing where he struck out 10 versus the Rays.
As for a pitcher at a lower price point, Pablo Lopez ($6,900 on DraftKings, $7,400 on FanDuel) is a strong pick. Lopez gets the Braves tonight who are striking out 24 percent of the time in the last week and have been a middle of the pack offence in that same period. Lopez doesn’t often go deep into games, but he has been very effective in his two starts this year and gets this start in Marlins park which has been a good place to pitch.
Infield DFS Picks
With the Dodgers facing a left-handed pitcher tonight, Enrique(Kike) Hernandez ($3,900 on DraftKings, $2,700 on FanDuel) will draw into the lineup. Enrique hits lefties particularly well with a 0.364 and a 0.727 SLG on the year.
When it comes to a player who is a little pricier, Nolan Arenado ($6,000 on Draft Kings, $4,200 on FanDuel). Arenado has 1.250 SLG in the last week against right-handed pitching and playing at home in the thin air of Coors Field, has the makings of a big night.
Outfield DFS Picks
On the value side of things, Byron Buxton ($3,500 on DraftKings, $3,000 on FanDuel) has been playing really well as of late. In the last week, he has a 0.421 batting average and an 0.829 SLG. It looks like the wind is going to be blowing out in Minneapolis tonight, so there should be lots of runs scored.
Dominic Smith ($3,500 on DraftKings, $2,900 on FanDuel) has been crushing right-handed pitching over the last week and is another really nice value. He has a 1.000 SLG, and three home runs over the week, and will be facing Spencer Howard of the Phillies, who struggled with giving up home runs in his debut last Sunday.
