We have eleven games today with the first pitch at 7:05 PM EST. Today’s slate of games is highlighted by Mookie Betts and the Los Angeles Dodgers, taking on Bryce Harper and the Philadelphia Phillies in Philadelphia. The highest implied run totals tonight sit with the Milwaukee Brewers (6.3), New York Yankees (5.7), and the Los Angeles Dodgers (5.4).

The weather doesn’t look like it will be an issue for any of today’s games with the chance of rain below 10 percent for all of the games.

Here is a selection of today’s Core Players 50-50 MLB DFS lineup for 8/11/21 (using DraftKings Values)

 PitcherAdam Wainwright $9,400
 Pitcher
 CatcherBuster Posey $4,100
 First Base
 Second BaseJean Segura $3,800
 Third Base
 Short StopCorey Seager $4,700
 Outfield
 Outfield
 OutfieldNelson Cruz $4,900

Adam Wainwright –  P  ($9,400) – Wainwright continues to get it done. He hasn’t given up more than three runs in any of his last four starts and he has struck out at least five batters in each of those games.

Buster Posey – C  ($4,100) – Posey has at least one hit in each of his last seven starts and in his last two games he has five hits and a home run.

Jean Segura – 2B  ($3,800) – Segura continues to hit left-handed pitching. In his last four games, he has at least a hit in each of them which includes a home run. You don’t get a lot of good pitching matchups against the Dodgers so tonight is going to be as good as that gets.

Corey Seager  – SS ($4,700)  In his last three games Seager has six hits, and yesterday added a double and a home run. Philadelphia can be a good place to hit so it wouldn’t be a surprise for him to have another nice game today.

Nelson Cruz  – OF ($4,900)  In Cruz’s last six games, he has three multi-hit games, and in two of those games he had a double and a home run. Anytime you can get Cruz for, under 5k, he is worth a look.

The Pitchers

Alek Manoah ($9,100 DK) In Manoah’s two starts since coming off the IL he has gone at least five innings. He has ten strikeout potential, and with the Blue Jays scoring as much as they are, he has a good shot at getting a win too.

Kevin Gausman ($9,900) – In Gausman’s last start against Arizona, he has up to five hits and one run while striking out eight batters in a win. He has only given up three runs in these three starts to them this season, and he isn’t likely to exceed that total tonight.

Tyler Anderson ($7,600) – In Anderson’s last five starts he hasn’t given up more than three runs, striking out more than four batters on average. His cost isn’t high, and with this game against Texas, I wouldn’t expect him to give up a lot of runs.

The Value Players

Pete Alonso – 1B ($3,900) – Alonso is a streaky hitter, and also one of the best power hitters in the game, so when he is hitting he tends to be hitting for power. He will be facing a Nationals starter today with an ERA near 4, so tonight might be the night that he breaks loose.

Jeimer Candelario – 3B ($3,100) – Candelario has hits in six straight games and in his last six games, he has four doubles and a home run. He isn’t going to cost you much, and the Tigers recently have been scoring lots of runs.

Adam Duvall – OF  ($2,900) – Duvall has hit a home run in back-to-back games, and he has three home runs in his last six games. He is the type of player you want to take advantage of while they are on a hot streak as he can go long stretches where he is hitting home runs.

The Stacks

Milwaukee Brewers – A Brewers stack today should start with Eduardo Escobar, and Luis Urias, and then you can add in either Willy Adames or Avisail Garcia to round things out.

New York Yankees – The Yankees again? Well for what feels like the tenth straight day, they are among the teams with the highest implied run total. If you’re going to stack them, I would go back to DJ LeMahieu, along with Luke Voit, and Aaron Judge.

St. Louis Cardinals – The Cardinals have a great value-stack today with Tommy Edman, Dylan Carlson, and Paul DeJong. All three hitters are hitting right now, and the most expensive of the three is $3,200.
