Two pivotal games between Cloud9 and Evil Geniuses plus Dignitas versus 100 Thieves could set the course for what the standings could look like in the second half of the split. We’ll also see if CLG, FlyQuest, and Golden Guardians can get their season back on track by picking up wins against tough opponents.
Here’s a partial lineup of picks who surprised in the first half of the split for February 27 on DraftKings and FanDuel
MVP | ||
Top Lane | FakeGod | $5,600 DK, $7,800 FD |
Jungle | ||
Mid Lane | ||
AD Carry | Lost | $7,600 DK, $9,800 FD |
Support | ||
TEAM | Immortals | $5,000 DK, $7,600 FD |
FakeGod ($5,600 DK, $7,800 FD) has been Dignitas’ rock this season. With the volatility in Dardoch’s champion pool and bot lane’s aggressive playstyle, FakeGod’s consistent tank/engage play has allowed the rest of the team to push the pace across the map. His Renekton and Gnar play have been some of the best in the league. While FakeGod’s laning stats aren’t the best, his true value is in teamfights and objective play. Dignitas as the highest baron percentage and third highest dragon percentage. Whenever Dignitas is looking for objectives, look for FakeGod’s TP’s and flanks.
Lost ($7,600 DK, $9,800 FD) should change his name to TSM Win at this point. TSM continues their winning ways of their spring split moving to 7-1 in their last eight games. Lost has continued to score big with late game hyper scaling champions playing five Kai’sa games in TSM’s last six. In TSM’s win streak, they’ve done a great job of slowing down the early game to play through objective control and teamfighting. This shift in playstyle has heavily benefitted Lost as his strengths lie in a slower more controlled game. While CLG sits at the bottom of the standings, they’ve done great work in the early game this season. Look for TSM keep things calm and allow Lost to scale.
Immortals ($5,000 DK, $7,600 FD) has a great matchup against Golden Guardians on Saturday. Immortals had another decent showing against a top team in Dignitas. Immortals bot lane got two early kills and mid lane was up 20 CS early. However, top lane crumbled to Dignitas’ relentless pressure topside with Revenged down over two thousand gold very early into the game. Immortals match up very well against Golden Guardians as the underperforming players on Immortals are matched up against some of the worst players in the league. With Immortals’ bot lane starting to perform, they will look to make a playoff push in the second round robin.

• Full lineups for DraftKings and FanDuel
• Who to select for MVP
• Which mid laner has jumped into the top 5
• The support who keeps proving people wrong
I’ve stayed away from 100 Thieves as even though they are 2-2 in their last four games, they’ve been their worst games of 2021 and should have lost Friday had they not been playing CLG. As well, I’ve limited both Cloud9 and Team Liquid players because of their matchups and recent performances. There is a ton of value to be found in Immortals versus Golden Guardians and with many of the TSM players.
DraftKings and FanDuel Lineup for February 27
MVP | Tactical | $12,000 [MVP] DK, $10,300 FD |
Top Lane | FakeGod | $5,600 DK, $7,800 FD |
Jungle | Blaber | $7,600 DK, $8,900 FD |
Mid Lane | Insanity | $7,600 DK, $8,600 FD |
AD Carry | Lost | $7,600 DK, $9,800 FD |
Support | Aphromoo | $4,600 DK, $7,000 FD |
TEAM | Immortals | $5,000 DK, $7,600 FD |
Remaining Salary | $0 DK, $0 FD |
In Team Liquid’s slump, Tactical ($12,000 [MVP] DK, $10,300 FD) has struggled to find his footing. He’s been getting caught constantly hampering Team Liquid’s great late game as they find themselves often in 4v5 major objective scenarios. However, he is still one of the best mechanical AD carries in the LCS and is a high risk high reward MVP for Saturday’s matches. Their opponents FlyQuest have struggled to find an identity, constantly switching up playstyles and perhaps to large of champion pools have doomed them thus far. Should Tactical get his positioning back on track will be due a big game.
I’m not putting Blaber ($7,600 DK, $8,900 FD) as the MVP for Saturday’s matches as I’m expecting a drop in Blaber’s average points per game moving forward due to the jungle changes in patch 11.4. Patch 11.4 have brought nerfs to the jungle role with decreased gold and experience in the early game for junglers. This could result in the meta shifting towards more tank/engage junglers (Skarner, Jarvan IV, etc.) and fewer hard farming carry oriented junglers (Graves, Nidalee, etc.). This could decrease the number of kill per game from junglers resulting in fewer points per game. Additionally, Blaber has a difficult matchup against Evil Geniuses and will look to avenge one of their two loses from the first round robin.
Insanity ($7,600 DK, $8,600 FD) has pushed himself into the top five of LCS mid laners. He’s much improved since his rookie season in the summer split of 2020 where his laning wasn’t great and he made many mistakes in crunch time. This season he’s had some of the best laning in mid lane and is much more intelligent with his play in the mid and late game. In Immortals’ last three wins Insanity has a score line of 21/4/21 and Immortals should have a free win against Golden Guardians with Insanity leading the charge.
When Johnsun was leaving Dignitas for FlyQuest this offseason, most people believed that Aphromoo’s ($4,600 DK, $7,000 FD) performance would decline in 2021 as people attributed his success in 2020 to Johnsun. Through ten games of the spring split he’s proved those people wrong. Aphromoo continues to look like a top four support in the league and has brought another rookie AD carry player into the spotlight. Aphromoo is undefeated on Thresh and Alistar this season and have been his go to picks. 100 Thieves shouldn’t let him get his hands on either one.
