We may see a champion crowned tonight. The Tampa Bay Lightning lead the Dallas Stars three to one in the series and are poised to end the hockey season. The Stars are far from done though as they still have fire and willpower left. They held the lead for a while but were unable to hold on when they fell in overtime. For them everything is at stake and they will play like it.
Our free pick for today is Mikhail Sergachev ($7,000 DK, $8,000 FD). He may have gotten a penalty on the play last night but we were impressed by his strength to just push Tyler Seguin away from the net. He has been playing very well and finally got a couple assists last night. He will back that up with shots and blocks and is an all around versatile player at a good price.
Behind the paywall we have a pool of solid players with a couple of them being not exactly who you might think. There will be a lot of points to go around tonight but we think we have a handle on will be getting the most. Come see who we picked to light the lamp and earn all the glory.
Captain DFS Pick For September 26, 2020
Vasilevski got the win last night but he let in more goals than we are comfortable with to put him back here. Brayden Point ($12,900 DK, $14,500 FD) continues to be a different level of player out there and never ceases to amaze. The goal where he batted a puck out of midair was still tough to follow in slow-mo. If the Lightning win it is either him or Hedman who will be earning the Conn Smythe trophy.
Flex DFS Picks For September 26, 2020
If we are targeting trophy winners and can afford them then here you go. Victor Hedman ($8,800 DK, $12,500 FD) has been an absolute beast for the entire playoffs. We don’t even need to point to stats here. There is nothing he can’t do and he may find another level tonight.
We would like to give Dallas a sporting chance and that chance is named Joe Pavelski ($7,600 DK, $8,500 FD). He has been their best and most consistent forward and can always be relied upon. He scored two goals last night and is not done yet. Whether he is winning faceoffs or posting up in front of the net he will be dragging the Stars to a game six.
To help Pavelski out we are looking at Alexander Radulov ($7,400 DK, $11,500 FD) to step up his game. It is actually hard to say that when he has seven points in the last seven games but we do think there is more. He has been a solid addition to the Stars roster and alongside Jamie Benn will do some damage.
Throwback to a couple games ago where we went deep and picked Jason Dickinson ($2,000 DK, $7,500 FD). He went on to score a short-handed goal and has been playing very well. In the last game he even reverse hit Victor Hedman and knocked him to the ice. He is a strong player and if Roope Hintz does not play after he left game four with an apparent injury then those minutes will likely go to Dickinson.
Avoid DFS Picks For September 26, 2020
This will likely be another high scoring affair and both goalies are going to have a rough night. Steer clear and invest in these high powered offenses. We wish we could bet on total shots on goal because we think it will be over 70 tonight. These two are going to be peppered with shots and it will be a tall task to stop them all.
We hope to continue to bring you more coverage of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and pick our favorite fantasy players but if not have a great autumn and we will see you when the new season starts.
