Welcome back. Today’s main slate has eleven games. The teams with the highest implied runs scored totals tonight are the Braves, Diamondbacks, and the Orioles so keep them in mind when picking players. We will keep you abreast of the juiciest matchups and make sure you know who to keep your eye on.

Today’s free pick comes from the Rays with Joey Wendle ($3,800 on DK, $2,600 on FD). Wendle has multi-hit games in three of his last five games. In those games, he has added two doubles and a home run. He is priced well, and should really help you build a winning lineup tonight.

Behind the paywall expect to find high value plays that are notably well priced on DraftKings and FanDuel. We have two pitchers, infielders and outfielders that we love for today’s main slate of games. And we’ve got more.

Pitching DFS Picks for September 22nd, 2020

We are going to look at the Astros for pitching. Framber Valdez ($9,700 on DK, $10,000 on FD). It’s not a night full of stud starting pitching, which explains Valdez’s price. He is facing a Mariners team that is striking out 30 percent of the time, and Valdez had a nice start against the Mariners earlier in the year going seven innings, struck out seven batters and didn’t give up any runs. He should be worth the cost tonight.

Our second pitching choice today is Caleb Smith ($5,800 on DK, $6,900 on FD) of the Diamondbacks. Smith hasn’t been great this year, but he is capable of striking lots of batters out, and with him facing the Rangers, this is a nice start. The Rangers have a batting average of just 0.207, and an SLG of just 0.355 against left-handed pitching. You are getting him at a significant discount tonight because he likely only goes a few innings, but if he can get to four or five with the strikeouts he will of given you good value.

Infield DFS Picks for September 22nd, 2020

Ozzie Albies ($5,300 on DK, $3,900 on FD) has multi-hit games in three of his last four games, and in those four games, he has accumulated a double, and two home runs. The Braves are facing the Marlins tonight, and Jose Urena who has a six ERA, and we likely see a high scoring game tonight.

The other infield play today is Christian Vazquez ($4,400 on DK, $2,600 on FD) of the Red Sox. Catcher is often not the sexiest place to make picks from, but Vasquez has hits in five of his last six games, three doubles and two steals. With the Red Sox facing the Orioles tonight, expect lots of runs to be scored, and Vasquez likely won’t be highly owned so he could be a difference-maker in GPP’s.

Outfield DFS Picks for September 22nd, 2020

George Springer ($4,700 on DK, $3,800 on FD) might not be the cheapest option today, but he has been on a hot streak. He has hits in eight straight games, and he has hit a home run in two of his last three games. The Astros will face a rookie in Ljay Newsome today, who has been up and down in his starts but has consistently not gone deep, so expect lots of runs from the Astros which means lots of opportunities for Springer.

Kole Calhoun ($4,500 on DK, $3,400 on FD) has hits in six straight games, multi-hit games in four of those six, and six home runs in that time as well. It is hard to deny his production as of late, but I suspect we are getting close to pumpkin time for Calhoun so I would keep his usage to GPP games, as this is more of a streak than a definition of his talent level.
