Welcome back. Today’s main slate has eleven games. The teams with the highest implied runs scored totals tonight are the Dodgers, Brewers, and Astros so keep them in mind when picking players. We will keep you abreast of the juiciest matchups and make sure you know who to keep your eye on.
Today’s free pick comes from the Twins with Byron Buxton ($3,700 on DK, $3,000 on FD). Don’t look now, but Buxton has hit a home run in five of his last eight games. He has hits in each of his last five games, which includes two multi-hit games, and four home runs. People will likely shy away from with Twin with them facing Alec Mills fresh of a no-hitter, but could be a great time to buy-in.
Behind the paywall expect to find high value plays that are notably well priced on DraftKings and FanDuel. We have two pitchers, infielders and outfielders that we love for today’s main slate of games. And we’ve got more.
Pitching DFS Picks for September 19th, 2020
We are going to look at the Astros for pitching. Andrew Heaney ($8,300 on DK, $8,500 on FD). Heaney will be facing a Rangers team that has struck out 35 percent of the time over the last week, and over the last month has only had a 0.202 batting average, and a 0.303 SLG percentage. This is as good as the matchups will get for Heaney who’s strikeouts are down this year, but we could see him surpass the ten strikeout mark tonight.
Our second pitching choice today is Mike Clevenger ($10,200 on DK, 9,800 on FD) of the Padres. Clevenger was fantastic in his last time out giving up just two hits over seven innings and striking out seven. He will face a Mariners team that is striking out at a rate of 31.3 percent, which could make this a great night to own Clevenger, just be aware he could be highly owned tonight, so you might want to use him in cash games more than GPP.
Infield DFS Picks for September 19th, 2020
Gary Sanchez ($4,100 on DK, $3,100 on FD) has a hit each of his last four games, and home runs in three of those four. In addition to that, he also has hit a double in his last two games. Sanchez is hot, and he will be facing a Red Sox team that gives up lots of runs.
The other infield play today is Jedd Gyorko ($3,700 on DK, $2,600 on FD) of the Brewers. While Gyorko hits for a lower batting average he has hit for much more power. In 39 at-bats versus left-handed pitching, he has hit five home runs and two doubles. With the Brewers facing a lefty tonight in Kris Bubic, there should be opportunities for him to further add to those totals.
Outfield DFS Picks for September 19th, 2020
Brandon Nimmo ($4,000 on DK, $3,000 on FD) has multi-hit games in each of his last four games. In that span, he has two home runs, two doubles and a triple. People may look to avoid the Mets today with them facing Ian Anderson and his sub 2 ERA, but in GPP settings this is worth the risk, as rookie starting pitchers can be inconsistent and can blow-ups happen.
Marcell Ozuna ($5,100 on DK, $3,900 on FD) when the Braves are facing lefties, you should consider Ozuna. He is among the best in the league at hitting left-handed pitching as displayed by his 1.250 SLG, and his 0.500 batting average against them in the last three weeks. Ozuna hit a home run last night, and he could easily repeat that performance tonight.
