Last night the Tampa Bay Lightning managed a gritty win but at what cost? Brayden Point didn’t play the end of the game and a couple of other forwards were missing as well. Nevertheless Nikita Kucherov punched home the game winner after an incredible feed from Ryan McDonagh. Might we start recommending McDonagh? Come back tomorrow to see what’s in store for the alternate captain.
A lot of the value we have been finding for you guys recently seems to be from the slightly older crowd that doesn’t have the same fan section it used to. We are sticking with that route today and putting up Paul Stastny ($5,400 DK, $9,000 FD) for your consideration. He may be 34 years old but he has scored four points in his last three games and has worked his way up the depth chart to center the second line. He is a low cost high upside guy.
Behind the paywall we have a couple more of these solid fantasy producers that won’t cost you an arm and a leg. Sign up for a week and see how we can help make your DFS experience that much more successful.
Captain DFS Pick For 9/10/20
Robin Lehner ($16,500 DK) is the king of the hockey world right now revitalizing his career at age 29 and from the sounds of it has secured a contract for the next few years. He has absolutely dominated play and been part of several shutouts so far this season. The Knights found their groove after a game one misstep and are going to punish the Stars tonight. If you are on FanDuel and cannot take goalies then go no further than Max Pacioretty ($15,500 FD) who has been a little quiet as of late but is ready to get back in the goal scoring mix.
Flex DFS Picks For 9/10/20
We know you guys love stacking players and since we tossed Stastny out there we may as well put Reilly Smith ($7,200 DK, $7,500 FD) up as well. If you are just looking at the stat sheet he may not jump out at you but we are big on the eye test here and he has been playing very well. He has 19 shots in the last five games and is a career 12% shooter. He should probably have three more goals than he does right now. Be patient with him and this low cost guy will put you high in the winnings.
For the next couple players we are moving back to the blueline. As much as we think the Knights will win tonight one of the biggest roadblocks to that is going to be Miro Heiskanen ($7,800 DK, $11,000 FD). He and Klingberg have been doing their dance where one outshines the other for a few games and that is about to swing back to Miro’s favor. His stock has dropped a little bit but that is just more savings for you.
One more Dallas pick just to keep it even and you might know who it will be already. Denis Gurianov ($6,600 DK, $8,500 FD) has been rock solid for us in these playoffs. Gurianov got more hits than shots in the last game but as the teams find the physicality level he should trend more towards offensive power and continuing to learn how to play with Joe Pavelski.
Our last ace in the hole is going to be Alex Tuch ($6,200 DK, $7,500 FD). Chandler Stephenson has moved back to center the third line now that Karlsson is back and this should greatly improve Tuch’s chances. He definitely saw his game drop a little bit but he will be in more familiar territory which will give his low cost a ton of value.
Avoid DFS Picks For 9/10/20
In a crucial game for the Stars we are going to back off of their goaltenders. We still don’t know what is up with Ben Bishop, Anton Khudobin got pulled last game, and Jake Oettinger is the freshest of the fresh out there. Let the offense right the ship before investing in them.
Only a couple more days to the weekend and still non-stop hockey on the menu. Get your fill and take it easy out there.
