Welcome back. Today’s slate has six games. The teams with the highest implied runs scored totals tonight are the Dodgers, Padres, and the Mets so keep them in mind when picking players. We will keep you abreast of the juiciest matchups and make sure you know who to keep your eye on.
Today’s free pick comes from the Braves with Ronald Acuna Jr. ($3,800 on DK, $2,700 on FD). Yesterday, the only game in his last five that he didn’t have a hit, he added two steals. In the other four games, Acuna has hit four home runs. He is as hot as any player in MLB.
Behind the paywall we’ve got a big ticket pitcher ready to rock, a high value infielder and a few more killers for today’s line up.
Pitching DFS Picks for September 8th, 2020
We are going to look to Padres for pitching. Mike Clevenger ($8,800 on DK, $9,000 on FD) will face the struggling Rockies tonight. In Clevenger’s first start for the Padres, he gave up just two runs but had a low strikeout total. I expect his strikeouts to come back up to his normal mark tonight. Our second pitching choice today is Spencer Turnbull ($8,500 on DK, $9,500 on FD) of the Tigers. He is facing the Brewers who are striking out nearly 29 percent of the time. Turnbull in his last time out had control issues that lead to a high walk count, but he only gave up three hits. If we can keep things together today, he should be successful. I would avoid using him in cash games however because of the potential for him to blow-up.
Infield DFS Picks for September 8th, 2020
Eugenio Suarez ($5,700 on DK, $4,000 on FD). In Suarez’s last five games, he has hit five extra-base hits, including four home runs and a double. In the last week, he has also hit for a 0.333 batting average.
The other infield play today is Yasmani Grandal ($4,000 on DK, $2,800 on FD). Grandal has three straight multi-hit games and will face Joe Musgrove of the Pirates tonight, who hasn’t made it out of the third inning in each of his last two starts and is yet to get through the sixth.
Outfield DFS Picks for September 7th, 2020
Mike Trout ($4,500 on DK, $4,000 on FD) to nobody’s surprise, is crushing the baseball again. In his last five games, he has three home runs and three doubles. He will be among the most expensive players on today’s slate, but he is also among the most consistent. I would consider him in any cash game today.
Michael Conforto ($4,900 on DK, $3,300 on FD) not to be outdone, has back to back three hit games and has hits in each of his last seven games. With four of those being multi-hit games. The Mets have been among the highest-scoring teams in recent weeks, so don’t shy away from what might be their hottest player right now.
