Welcome back. Today’s slate has seven games. The teams with the highest implied runs scored totals tonight are the Rockies, Padres, and the Phillies, so keep them in mind when picking players. We will keep you abreast of the juiciest matchups and make sure you know who to keep your eye on.
Today’s free pick comes from the Philadelphia Phillies. Rhys Hoskins ($4,400 on DK, $3,500 on FD). Over the last five days, Hoskins has a 0.750 SLG, including three home runs. Hoskins has really started to pick things up as of late, and he will have a nice matchup going against Erik Feddeand the Nationals tonight.
Pitching DFS Picks for August 31, 2020
We are going to look to the Rays this afternoon for pitching. Tyler Glasnow ($9,200 on DK, $9,400 on FD) will face a Yankees team that is striking out nearly 25 percent over the last five days and will be without many of their offensive stars. Glasnow has at least eight strikeouts in each of his last three starts. He should be able to provide a nice total for you tonight.
Our second pitching choice today is Max Fried ($8,000 on DK, $9,900 on FD) of the Atlanta Braves. Fried hasn’t given up more than one run in his last six starts. He will face a Red Sox team that has just a 0.494 SLG versus left-handed pitching in the last couple of weeks. This should be a very winnable game for Fried.
Infield DFS Picks for August 31, 2020
Fernando Tatis Jr. ($5,400 on DK, $3,900 on FD) Tatis, much like his teammate Manny Machado, has been crushing the baseball lately. Tatis is hitting 0.456 over the last five days, and has two doubles and a home run in that time frame.
If you are looking for a value play today check out Josh Harrison ($2,700 on DK, $2,400 on FD). Harrison has played well since coming to the Nationals and has hit home runs in two of his last three games. Harrison will face Spencer Howard of the Phillies who has struggled in his brief time in MLB.
Outfield DFS Picks for August 31, 2020
Raimel Tapia ($3,800 on DK, $3,200 on FD) is a nice cheap play if you’re looking to get a piece of the Rockies today. He has a 0.600 SLG in the last week and could be leading off for them today, which will give you lots of opportunities in what could be a high scoring game today.
Marcell Ozuna ($4,100 on DK, $3,200 on FD) has been a brightspot in Braves offence. He has at least a hit in 11 of his last 12 games and is coming off a three-hit performance yesterday. Look for him to continue to perform tonight going against Colten Brewer of the Red Sox, who gave up four runs in his last outing.
