We have ten games on the slate for our first Sunday slate of the season with the first pitch at 1:05PM EST. Today’s slate of games is highlighted by Bo Bichette and the Toronto Blue Jays taking on Marcus Ssemien and the Texas Rangers in Toronto.
Weather shouldn’t be a problem as no game has a higher than 20 percent chance of rain across the slate of games.

Freddy Peralta ($10,200) – Peralta gets a solid matchup with the Cubs who are projected for a low win total this season. Peralta finished the spring with a 15:2 strikeout to walk ratio and is poised to help the Brewers rotation this season. He has a great chance to come away with a win and provide a solid pitching anchor for your lineup.
Whit Merrifield ($4,300) – Merrifield is a staple at the top of the Royals lineup. Hitting at the top of the order, Merrifield gets on base at an incredible rate. He’s always close to a .300 batting average, and last season had a respectable 40 walks. Always a threat to steal bases, his power is modest, and he’ll get a matchup with the Guardians, who he’s historically had success against.
Bo Bichette ($5,600) – Bichette is quickly becoming one of the best shortstops in baseball, both offensively and defensively. He’s off to a great start to the season as well, coming off a pair of two hit games. He’s four for eight to start the season, and has scored every time he reached base, which is the result of hitting at the top of a loaded Blue Jays lineup. Bichette hit his first home run of the season last night and it wont likely be his last. Today, he’ll face the Rangers at home in Toronto.

The Pitchers
Zach Eflin ($7,700 DK) Eflin has a great matchup today against the depleted Athletics at home. Eflin is coming off a season in which he experienced injuries, but he appeared in three games this spring and appears at full health. In his final spring start, he pitched six and two thirds scoreless innings with just 1 walk and five strikeouts. Take advantage of the matchup with an inexpensive pitcher who has a solid chance for the win.
Steven Matz ($7,100 DK) – Similar to the aforementioned Eflin, Matz has an excellent matchup, as he’ll face a Pirates team who’s already been shutout once this season. He’s got a solid lineup behind him, and should get plenty of run support. He’s a great value play to help you spend up other positions while having solid pitcher.
The Value Players
Ke’Bryan Hayes ($3,500) – On the flip side of the Matz matchup, Hayes is a value play at his cost. He’s coming off a two hit game, and hits at the three spot of the Pirates lineup. He possesses a unique power speed combination that could propel him to a twenty home run twenty steal season for the Pirates. He just signed a fresh new eight year $70 million extension, and will want to prove his worth.
Andrew McCutchen ($4,600) – McCutchen is coming off an injury-plagued season. However, he also had his highest home run total in years with 27. In addition, he has been batting lead off for the Brewers against right-handed pitching. He finally appears healthy evidenced by the three stolen bases this spring. He provides good value for a lead off batter with a solid lineup behind him. Today. he gets a matchup against Marcus Stroman and the Chicago Cubs.
Steven Kwan ($2,000) – Kwan is off to a great start in Cleveland hitting at the top of the order. He’s three for five to start the season to go with three walks and a double. Hitting in front of guys like Jose Ramirez and Franmeal Reyes should also provide ample opportunity for runs as well. At just $2,000, Kwan doesn’t have to do much to reach value, and he’s a great discount option to get those higher priced guys in your lineup.
The Stacks
Los Angeles Dodgers – With the Dodgers off season additions you can really stack almost any part of their lineup from top to bottom. You should look to base your stack though on one or both of their higher priced players in Freddie Freeman and Trae Turner, as they offer the most upside. And then mix and match from there with the likes of Max Muncy, Nookie Betts, Cody Bellinger, and Justin Turner.
San Diego Padres – The Padres have a high implied run total today at 5, which means their stacks should be considered. For me, I want to look at some combination of Jake Cronenworth, Manny Machado, Luke Voit, and Wil Myers.
New York Mets – The Mets have the second highest implied run total today at 5.1. Their stacks should consist of Starling Marte, Francisio Lindor, and Pete Alonso, but you could add in Eduardo Escobar or Mark Canha if you are looking for some salary relief.
