The Dallas Stars are at an even 200 goals for and 200 goals against. They sit one spot out of the playoff race behind the Nashville Predators and are climbing fast. They have a young core bolstered by some grizzled vets and we think they are going to make it happen. We sometimes wish they would do it without those neon green uniforms, but hey, we will take more character in the league over boring. Without further ado, we would like to introduce you to the new faces of the franchise.

Roope Hintz is another one of the gems of the 2015 draft class. It continues to produce fantastic talent and we are seeing the bulk of them hit their true breakout seasons this year. He is a bonafide number one center and we pray he can stay healthy because we all benefit from him being on the ice.
Jason Robertson is a couple of years younger but has stormed onto the scene this year already eclipsing the point per game mark. He is also a huge dude at 6’3” 200 lbs and he is not easily moved around. He will be getting a heck of a bridge deal when his Entry-Level Contract is up a the end of the season and we know the Stars organization will do right by him to keep him stapled to Hintz’s side for years to come.
Jake Oettinger just turned 23 and is already a starter in the National Hockey League. Apparently, we need to look into the front office because they have some skilled scouts and management. The 2017 draft netted them Heiskanen and Oettinger in the first round, Robertson in the second, and another winger that is already playing for them in the fifth. The future is bright in Dallas.

Alex Pietrangelo is a beast. More often than not he gets double digits in fantasy points because he does absolutely everything well. He was a huge pickup from the Blues and he has a taste for the playoffs. He and Evgenii Dadonov will never let their motor idle and they really need to put their hand in Vancouver’s face tonight to keep the gap wide.
If you want to save on Pietrangelo you could totally go after Alec Martinez who is seeing his ice time rise after missing the past four months due to a skate to the face. Ouch. He is also a solid secondary. We also like Miro Heiskanen, obviously, who had mono and missed less time than we first thought. He has some catching up to do with his peers and should be pushing for power-play one time.
Joel Eriksson Ek’s fantasy numbers game over game may not inspire and our bias for JEEK may be present, but it is worth noting that he is one goal away from 20 which would be a career-high, and only two assists from 20 as well. He has the incentive to try and hit those marks and with Vitek Vanecek in net for the Capitals, we like his chances. For a more consistent guy, especially given the recent win by the Ducks, go after Adam Henrique. The 32-year-old veteran gets his shots, is also close to 20 assists, and could really use a goal or two more for his totals this year.
It is hard not to take yet another swing on Frank Vatrano. Thriving on his new line feels like an understatement. Yes, his shooting percentage is through the roof, but there’s a tenaciousness to his game that allows for that to not deter us. Mika Zibanejad is a miracle passer and we know Vatrano will be driving hard to the net all the time to capitalize.
An interesting pick for your utility player is Mats Zuccarello. He is a super lovable guy and his comments about how playing with Kirill Kaprizov has revitalized his passion for the game warm the soul and we think they are going to do something special tonight.
