After a huge twelve-game slate last night, there are only three games for us to talk about tonight. NBA DFS has fallen into a pattern of big and small slates here, and we have a lot less value to work with on the smaller slates. Our standards for budget options are going to be a little bit lower tonight, as we are desperate to find guys we can save salary with. As of now are favorite team is going to be the Cleveland Cavaliers, who remain without Jarrett Allen for a fantastic matchup against the Pistons.

Luka Doncic really stands out above the rest of the slate as a spend-up option tonight, so he is going to be the first guy we plugin for Cash games. Doncic plays a massive role for the Mavericks, typically taking over 20 shot attempts and constantly teasing a triple double. He is averaging 56.7 FPTS on the season, a few more then any other option tonight. The Mavericks have one of the best matchups possible against the Hornets tonight, making Doncic the chalk here.
We really liked getting to Corey Kispert at $3,400 last night, and he was solid with 21 FPTS. Kispert continued to play a great role for the Washington Wizards, as he was on the floor for 29 minutes in a close game. We know Kispert sees the run in garbage time, so we expect him to be on the floor whether this stays close or not.
Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 3/19/22 (using DraftKings Values)
Russell Westbrook turned in a fantastic game against Toronto last night, and we expect that to land him some solid ownership with only three games tonight. We have no interest in chasing the big game here, as the price has risen on Westbrook when he was already too expensive. Last night was the second time in the last month and a half that Westbrook hit 40 FPTS or more, so we can not expect him to hit value at $8,700.
Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month or $99 For The Year…
• A stud guard we want to spend up for.
• Two budget wings we are using for salary savings.
• A stud forward with massive upside.
• Some general strategy for tonight’s shorter slate.
Point Guard
Darius Garland – ($9,100 DK) We do not have too many options to spend up for, so guys like Garland stand out much more then if this was a bigger slate. Garland has become of the best upside guys in the league, and he is averaging over 50 FPTS across the past ten days. Garland always takes on a ton of usage for the Cavaliers, and he has been doing a little bit more with Allen on the bench.
Shooting Guard
Isaac Okoro – ($4,000 DK) Okoro struggled from the field last game, shooting 2-8 and 0-3 from three-point range. Okoro has played massive minutes lately, going for 37 or more minutes in each of the past three games. He had scored 37.75 and 26.25 FPTS in the two games before last, as he has seen a boost since Allen’s injury. As we mentioned earlier, we are desperate for value tonight, so a guy like Okoro becomes a great play.
Deni Avdija – ($3,700 DK) Avdija offers a lot of variability in his DFS production, as we often see him show a very low floor. However, Avdija also has solid upside, especially given the price. He has been playing solid run lately, as he has gone over 24 FPTS in two of the past three games. A big game from Avdija would be huge tonight, as his salary is crucial for affording our studs.
Lauri Markkanen – ($5,900 DK) There is usually a lot of competition for the big men in Cleveland, but some minutes have opened with Allen sidelined. Markkanen has consistently been playing huge minutes, and he has shown some fantastic upside in this stretch without Allen. Markkanen was phenomenal last game with 60 FPTS, and we know he is always a high-upside performer.
Mason Plumlee – ($4,900 DK) Plumlee has been on fire lately, going well over 30 FPTS in three of his past four outings. Plumlee has been playing increased run lately for the Hornets, and it is showing in his DFS production. If Plumlee goes for another game around 35 FPTS he could be a must-have with only three games here.
General strategy
We just found out that Spencer Dinwiddie is out for the Mavericks tonight, which creates some value. It makes Doncic look even better here, as there are fewer options to share his offensive load. We are also curious to see who starts for Dinwiddie, as we will be happy getting to whoever it is. We are also watching some key questionable tags from Detroit, as Cade Cunningham and Killian Hayes could both sit tonight. If Cunningham ends up out, we will really like going to the Pistons for value. Good luck tonight, and make sure to keep an eye on our key news.
