NBA DFS Advice for March 6, 2022

We only have five games on tonight’s NBA DFS main slate, but there is no shortage of value to be found. The Utah Jazz look fantastic tonight, as they take on a measly OKC Defense with Mike Conley sidelined. We also like getting back to a few guys from the Thunder, who are still without Josh Giddey or Luguentz Dort among others. One piece of news we are still waiting on is the status of Fred VanVleet as we will be plugging in a few Raptors if he remains out.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 3/6/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardJ. Clarkson $5,000
Shooting Guard
Small Forward
Power Forward
CenterJ. Valanciunas
Guard
Forward
Utility

As we mentioned the jazz look great tonight, specifically the guards who stand to see some extra run with Conley on the sideline. Jordan Clarkson is our favorite option from this squad, as he typically plays a big role when Conley or Donovan Mitchell are sidelined. Clarkson is coming in at a fantastic $5,000 price tonight, which would be tempting with everyone healthy. With him in the starting unit against the Thunder tonight, this is a no-brainer.

Jonas Valanciunas is coming in at one of his best price tags of the entire season tonight, as he is only $7,300. We know who JV is as a DFS producer, and his upside is far too high for a price like this. Valanciunas was disappointing last game as he got in early foul trouble, but we do not expect him to be limited to 17 minutes again. He is averaging 38.8 FPTS on the season, and he can go well over 50 FPTS on a good night.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 3/6/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been terrific over the past few games, as there has been a ton of shots for him with Giddey and Dort sidelined. However, SGA has been priced up all the way to $10,400 here, which is more expensive than he should ever be. He needs to completely dominate in order to hit value at this price, which is an ugly bet to make with a tough matchup against the Utah Jazz.

Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month or $99 For The Year…
• One budget guard who should see a lot of extra run tonight.
• Two wings with massive upside.
• A center that has been exploding lately.
• Our priorities from Toronto with VanVleet and Flynn out.

Point Guard

Dalano Banton – ($3,000 DK) The Raptors quite literally couldn’t be thinner on guards, as we just got the news that VanVleet will be sidelined along with his backup in Malachi Flynn. The Raptors plugged Flynn in for a ton of run with FVV out, and it seems likely that role goes to Banton tonight. If The Raptors start Banton, he will be a priority for us at the minimum price. If someone else gets the start, our interest will be with the starting unit.

Shooting Guard

Jalen Green – ($5,600 DK) We have had one eye lingering on Green all season, as the usage he takes is fantastic for the price we usually see him at. He has been on a tear lately, going for 33, 39.5, and 37.25 FPTS respectively in the past three games. Green always has a ton of upside, and we are happy riding the hot hand here in a nice matchup with the Grizzlies.

Small Forward

Desmond Bane – ($6,000 DK) We really liked Bane last time, and he was very productive with 36 FPTS. We really want some exposure to the Grizzlies tonight, as they have the best matchup on the slate against the Houston Rockets. Bane is coming in at a fair price tonight, so the value is there with this matchup. He is a high upside guy, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to show it.

Power Forward

Scottie Barnes – ($7,000 DK) There is a lot to like from the Raptors tonight, and Barnes is a priority. Barnes has been very aggressive on offense lately, which is always what we want to see for DFS. There is a ton of room for Barnes to takeover with none of the Raptor’s usual point guards available. He has a lot of upside in this spot, and he is easy to plugin at $7,000 with dual-forward eligibility,

Center

Isaiah Roby – ($5,400 DK) Roby has been phenomenal lately, going for 51.75 and 41.5 FPTS respectively in the past two games. Roby is starting at center for OKC right now, as he has been playing nearly 40 minutes in close games. If Roby continues to start here we are happy paying this inflated tag on him, as the role he has been playing speaks for itself.

General strategy

With the news that neither VanVleet nor Flynn will be available tonight, the Raptors are going to be our favorite source of value. We are still playing a ton of Clarkson, Green, Valanciunas, Bane, and Roby, but the team we are going to for two or three guys will be the Raptors. Gary Trent Jr. has struggled with shooting lately, but the opportunities have been there. We expect Trent to see some monster usage tonight, so we will be getting to a lot of him. Pascal Siakam is another strong option, as his upside is always massive without VanVleet.
