That New Jersey Devils vs Chicago Blackhawks was as high scoring as we predicted and we are so glad we took Jack Hughes and Yegor Sharangovich who combined for 2 goals, 2 assists and 8 shots! The one bummer is that we actually had Brandon Hagel on our board too but never wrote a blurb about him. Our boy got himself his first hat trick and he even put himself in the net on the third one. Good times.
If you are looking for another high scoring affair you would want to take players from the Montreal Canadiens vs Ottawa Senators game or perhaps the Tampa Bay Lightning vs the Nashville Predators game. While the first two are not known for their goaltending, we actually have a feeling that both goalies are going to be making highlight reel saves tonight. And while in the latter matchup we may see two Vezina contenders duking it out, those games sometimes devolve into buckets of goals.

Andre Vasilevskiy is the odds on favorite to be the best tonight. His high cost is well deserved based both on his own prolific talents but also on those on the ice in front of him. Tampa knows how to score goals and Vasi knows how to stop them. Can they three-peat? They very well could.
We are big Victor Hedman fans here at FantasyDFSExperts but what Roman Josi is doing this year is special. He has 54 points in 51 games while Hedman is 50 in 50. All the extra points are goals too which is where the money is. Kids like Makar and Seider can learn a lot from these two in how to be huge and deadly.
Long time subscribers know we are fond of Tim Stutzle who was the third overall pick in the 2020 NHL draft. He is a bright spot on a team that is dark in the standings. They have oodles of talent but will take some time for it all to come together. Stutzle is already the whole package.
Cole Caufield is on a goal scoring streak. We do not mind him being an extra freebie today so that we can stick to our theme. He also has eight points in his last four games. We are glad the Habs are turning it on and not tanking. It makes the league a better place.

Andrew Hammond is also known as the Hamburglar. He steals games on occasion and famously did it with the Ottawa Senators. He is now a Montreal Canadien and this game is going to mean a lot to him. His heyday was back in 2014-2015 but we think he has some magic left in him.
If you want to shift your chips to Quebec then you may want to swap out Stutzle for Nick Suzuki. He is another young gun quickly making a name for himself. He is quick and creative and gets along great with Caufield. There’s an infectious joy when they score together and Matt Murray is going to see them try a few times.
All eyes are on Auston Matthews with his crazy scoring pace this year. Last game he netted two. The first one got him tied for first place in the league in goals scored. The second gave him sole possession of that honor. While he is a great pick we are actually pumping Mitch Marner’s tires today. These two are really just getting started tearing the league apart and we think part of their evolution is going to happen tonight. Marner is a much better scorer than people give him credit for and we think that they are going to use that to their advantage. It’s Mitch’s night.
To bring our average costs down we are taking either Joel Eriksson Ek or Brock Nelson. Brock Lobster is boiling over right now while Ek is just grinding his way to the top. Eriksson Ek got double digit fantasy points alone from shots and blocks and is a few games out of a point. He will be getting some soon. Nelson is on a four game goal streak with no signs of slowing down. One of them may even be worth your utility spot.
If you can stomach it then Moritz Seider is always worth a swing. He is a bit pricey right now and so we will have some bargains for you after this, but given how hard we are rooting for him to win the Calder we might make it work. If you want some more balance between this and your last pick then Ryan Pulock is here to be the most blue collar blue liner you have.
For your sub $4,000 choices we have some gems. Tyler Toffoli, Anthony Cirelli, and Blake Coleman can easily crush that value. We do not need to wax poetic about these guys as we have brought them to your attention before. We would actually love to see Toffoli and Coleman hook up on the second power play. They could make some Sportscenter Top 10 plays together.
