Super Bowl LVI is just days away as the NFL season will come to a close when the Cincinnati Bengals face-off against the Los Angeles Rams. This will be the second year in a row where one of the contenders will be on their home field.
All the stars have aligned for the Rams, the trades for Matt Stafford, OBJ, and Von Miller, heck even Sony Michel, have propelled them to the top, and at the same time giving up a ton of draft picks. It’s boom or bust, all or nothing for the Rams at home for a championship.
But Joe Burrow and the Bengals have won their last two post season games on the road, and have showed a lot of poise under pressure. In only his second year in the league, he’s led Cincinnati to defeat the one seeded Titans and 2019 Champion Kansas City Chiefs. Burrow and the Bengals have nothing to lose and all to gain in the franchise’s first Super Bowl appearance since 1989.
Now let’s get to the fantasy aspect of this matchup. Everybody will own the Triple Crown Winner Cooper Kupp. He’s been the cheat code for L.A. in DFS all season, averaging over 100 receiving yards and double digit receptions. Scoring 20 touchdowns including the post season, he’s un fadeable and an auto start at the Captain/MVP slot. But on DraftKings he will cost you an arm and a leg, so the remaining pieces are key to cashing, leaving no room for error. We will give you our pick at Captain for the finale, and it’s Kupp.

Alternate Captain/MVP:
Odell Beckham Jr. ($12,600 DK/$10,500 FD) He gives you a salary saving opportunity at Captainon DraftKings and at the same time a high ceiling for cashing in a big tournament. The targets and end zone capability is in the cards for OBJ if this does indeed turn into a shootout being Stafford’s second go to guy.
Sleeper Captain/MVP:
Tee Higgins ($7,600 DK/$10,500 FD) So if indeed Jalen Ramsey does shadow Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins will reap the benefits of an increase in volume and target share. Higgins has been a chain-mover for the Bengals this season, and at Captain on DK he can really save you some dough to fit in more high priced players.
Fade:
C. J. Uzomah ($4,400 DK/$7,500 FD) Was carted off the field last game after spraining his knee. Uzomah Has already been in the media saying he will play, this has decoy written all over it. Chances are if he does get on the field he will not be as effective.
Tyler Higbee ($4,800 DK/$8,000 FD) He hasn’t practiced in two weeks, so don’t even bother. Although he’s listed as questionable and has not been ruled out yet, keep scrolling.
Other Studs We Like:
Matt Stafford ($10,800 DK/$15,500 FD) A no brainer to roster, he is in line for the game of his career, and has been moving the ball like a champ in the post season. In his biggest game of his life look for Stafford to air it out.
Joe Burrow ($10,600 DK/$15,000 FD) Another no brainer. Joe Burrow has carried his team to an un foreseeable achievement in reaching the Super Bowl. So long as his offensive line can keep him upright, He should also have a great game, averaging over 20 fantasy points in the post season.
Ja’Marr Chase ($10,400 DK/$12,000 FD) Burrows’ main man and former LSU college teammate. The two have linked up for 1,734 yards and 14 touchdowns for the year including the playoffs, and smashing rookie records at the same time.
Joe Mixon ($9,600 DK/$12,500 FD) The Bengals bell cow back had the best season of his career rushing for over 1,300 yards and 14 touchdowns. But look for him to be relied more upon in the passing game for quick dump offs to beat the Rams’ intense pass rush.
Tyler Boyd ($5,400 DK/$8,500 FD) wWith a less than 100 percent Uzomah, Boyd will see more looks up the middle of the field. In previous games missed by the Bengals’ tight end, he’s scored double digit fantasy points.
Van Jefferson ($5,200 DK/$7,000 FD) He’s put in a full practice and should be ready to go after a shoulder injury. The Rams’ speedy gadget receiver has the ability to stretch the field and pull off a big play and to hit pay dirt.
Fade:
The Rams Running Backs…( Cam Akers, Sony Michel, Darrell Henderson Jr.) Coach Sean McVey has come out to the press saying that Darrell Henderson may be taken off IR for the Super Bowl, which will turn the Rams backfield into a three-headed monster. I’d go Henderson though on DK for his price ($1,600) if I were to slide a Rams back into my lineup, but it may lead to a donut, so beware.
Value Plays:
Kendall Blanton ($4,600 DK/$8,000 FD) May be in line for another start at tight end if Higbee is a no go, which today looks like a sure thing after not practicing at all since his injury. Blanton caught five passes for 47 yards in the NFC game.
Rams DST ($3,400 DK) if Tennessee can get to Burrow nine times imagine what Aaron Donald and Von Miller can do to the Bengals O line. Tipped passes, sacks, and fumbles oh my!!
Samaje Perine ($2,400 DK/$7,000 FD) We all witnessed what he did against the Chiefs in the AFC Championship, ripping of a 30 yard screen pass to the house. He’s still affordable on DK in this single game slate, and can do it again in the passing game.
Brycen Hopkins ($200 DK/$6,000 FD) (Dirt Cheap Punt) If Higbee does sit this one out, Hopkins will be on the field behind Blanton at tight end. One catch, just one for ten yards will pay off his salary.
