We only have five games on tonight’s NBA DFS slate, but there is no shortage of value with a ton of injuries going around. The two teams we will be getting to the most here are the Washington Wizards and Oklahoma City Thunder, as both Bradley Beal and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander are sidelined. We are looking at a more balanced lineup tonight, as a few of our priorities are in the $6,000-$8,000 range.

Tre Mann was a priority for us last night, as we expected him to play a huge role with SGA and Aaron Wiggins both sidelined. Mann was somewhat disappointing with 15.25 FPTS, but we were right about his playing a big role. Mann played 32 minutes and put up 17 attempts from the field, so there was obviously room for a much more productive night. We expect Mann to be in for a similar opportunity tonight, and he is just doing too much to cost $4,100.
Kyle Kuzma has been extremely productive this season with the Wizards, averaging over 35 FPTS per night on the season. With Beal sidelined over the past three games, Kuzma has been ever more dynamic. He has scored 52, 51.75, and 46.75 FPTS respectively over the past three games, as he has been the first scoring option on Washington. He looks great here, as he has hardly been priced up in the time without Beal.
Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 2/5/22 (using DraftKings Values)
The price continues to rise on Russell Westbrook despite a poor performance in the last outing. Westbrook is priced at $9,700 here, and he rarely hits value at this price point. Westbrook has not hit the 50 FPT mark since December, and we need him to go over 50 at this price. We have some great studs to pay up for tonight, so Westbrook is an easy fade here.
Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month or $99 For The Year…
• A stud guard in a great situation.
• One priority from the Kings if Fox remains out.
• The rest of our priorities from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
• Our general strategy for handling Cash Games and GPP’s tonight.
Point Guard
Spencer Dinwiddie – ($6,800 DK) Dinwiddie has seen a $1,000 price jump since the last slate, but he is still too cheap for the role he plays when Beal is sidelined. Dinwiddie went for 47.5 FPTS in the last game, and he has put up that kind of performance often when he gets these opportunities. He always has the ball in his hands a lot without Beal, and the production speaks for itself.
Shooting Guard
Davion Mitchell – ($5,300 DK) The Sacramento Kings have been without De’Aaron Fox for seven straight games. Fox is questionable for tonight, but he has been questionable every game he has missed. If Fox remains out here, Mitchell is going to be one of our favorite guards to get to. He has been crushing in Fox’s absence, scoring 29.75 FPTS or more in each of the past five games. His usage has been massive, which means his upside is great.
Luguentz Dort – ($6,400 DK) Dort had another good game in the last outing, going for 37.25 FPTS. He has gone well over 35 FPTS in every game that SGA has missed, and he has shown upside over 45 FPTS in a few of those games. Dort looks fantastic as he remains at $6,400, especially with a great matchup against the Sacramento Kings.
Darius Bazley – ($4,300 DK) Bazley has been doing a lot more in the four games without Gilgeous-Alexander, and it is surprising he has not been priced up at all. Bazley has gone over 25 FPTS in every game without SGA, with an upside as high as 35 FPTS. Except for a blowout win against Portland, Bazley has played over 30 minutes in all the other games in this stretch.
Mamadi Diakite – ($3,000 DK) We had a lot of interest in Diakite last time out, as at the minimum price a guy doesn’t have to do too much to end up a great play. Diakite scored 30 FPTS in 30 minutes last time, which was what we were hoping for. He remains $3,000 here, so he is a nice option to save some salary.
General strategy
With most of the injuries on this slate on two teams, we know what our core will look like for Cash games tonight. We will be locking in Dinwiddie, Kuzma, Mann, Bazley and Diakite then going from there. As always, all our Cash game plays look good in tournaments, but we want to differentiate. Josh Giddey, LaMelo Ball, and Tyrese Haliburton are three guys we expect to be low-owned tonight. They are nice GPP options, as each of them has massive upside.
