We have six games to break down for tonight’s NBA DFS slate, as we have far fewer injuries on the table compared to the last few nights. There is still going to be loads of value and more than enough for us to talk about, but teams are not quite as gutted tonight. Consequently, our priorities for value tonight are largely based off the price and recent production as opposed to injured teammates.

Gary Trent Jr. has been one of the hottest hands in the NBA lately, as he just tied a franchise record with five straight games over 30 real points scored. As one can imagine Trent has been a dynamic DFS producer in that time, going over 40 FPTS in each of the five games. It is a surprise that Trent has not been priced up more aggressively, as he has been a winning play on five straight slates. He has been providing the raptors with much-needed perimeter scoring, and we do not want to be the ones without him if he goes over 40 FPTS again.
After years of reaching for mediocrity, the Chicago Bulls are the first seed in the east. DeMar DeRozan is the reason why. He has been one of the most consistent players in the league over the past few weeks, as he has not gone under 45 FPTS in seven straight outings. His usage has been massive, which has led to eclipsing 50 FPTS in three of the past five outings. DeRozan looks great here by the numbers, and if you are into narratives he always crushes against the Raptors.
Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 2/3/22 (using DraftKings Values)
We expect Dejounte Murray to be popular for tonight’s slate, as he has been extremely productive lately. Murray is averaging 53.7 FPTS over the past ten days, which does somewhat justify his $10,300 price tag. However, the San Antonio Spurs are facing a hellish nightmare against the Miami Heat tonight. We rarely get to players against the Heat, and we never do when they are a bit too expensive like Murray is tonight.
Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month or $99 For The Year…
• A cheap guard who has been great over the last few weeks.
• A few cheap forwards that will be playing a ton of minutes here.
• A cheap center who should be stepping into the starting unit.
• Some general strategy and our priorities at the top end.
Point Guard
Bogdan Bogdanovic – ($4,900 DK) Most of this season has been something of a bumpy ride for Bogdanovic, who has struggled to reach the consistent level of production we came to expect from him last year. However, Bogdanovic has been turning things around lately. He is averaging 30.8 FPTS over the past ten days, as he has crossed the 30 FPT mark in three of the past four games. It is surprising that Bogdanovic is still under $5,000 here,
Shooting Guard
Klay Thompson – ($6,000 DK) The minutes have been rising on Thompson lately, as we have seen his limit rise to around 27 minutes a night. Thompson is returning from a few nights’ rest here, so we are expecting him to set a new season-high for floor time. Thompson is slowly nearing his pre-injury levels of minutes and production, so he is getting too cheap at this price point.
Deandre Hunter – ($4,400 DK) Hunter has dealt with a ton of injuries since joining the NBA, and that causes some inconsistency in the minutes he plays for Atlanta. All of which has brought his price down to only $4,400 tonight, which is low enough for us to be all over Hunter here. If he can play over 30 minutes like we saw last time, he should have no issues smashing value.
P.J. Tucker – ($4,100 DK) There are a few guys tonight who are much cheaper than we expected to see them given their recent production. Tucker has been fantastic lately, going over 22 FPTS in five straight outings. He is averaging 26.7 FPTS over the past ten days, taking a ton of minutes and usage in that time. Tucker is a fantastic budget option here, and we are happy getting some exposure to the Heat with this matchup against the Spurs.
Drew Eubanks – ($3,300 DK) Jakob Poeltl just entered the health and safety protocols for the Spurs, so we expect Eubanks to be in the starting lineup here. Furthermore, Jock Landale is going to be sidelined for this one. Landale played 17 minutes in the last game without Poeltl, so Eubanks could be in for a ton of run here.
General strategy
Going through our priorities for this one a lot of the cheaper guys on tonight’s slate really stand out to us. A good strategy for these slates is to include some of the spend-up options you want to get to first, as it will be easy filling in the gaps with value. The stars at the very top end are not the best tonight, so we will be getting to a lot of the more balanced studs with plays like DeRozan, Pascal Siakam, and Fred VanVleet. Good luck with this one, and keep an eye on if we get any more news,
