What a Wildcard Weekend, five teams seasons are done, and tonight will have one more sent packing in an NFC West match up. The Rams and Cardinals split their regular season games, but this one is for all the marbles. Both quarterbacks Matthew Stafford and Kyler Murray have shown up for each game and put up over 20 fantasy points, but their salaries in a single game slate are a hefty price, so getting both in one lineup will be very difficult.
The one lock for tonight is obviously Cooper Kupp, who should be heavily owned tonight in many of lineups. Kupp had a career best 145 receptions for 1,947 yards with 16 touchdowns, which was just shy of breaking both the single season catch and yardage records in the NFL. We love him in our Captain/MVP slot, but who else wouldn’t? If we want to win tournaments in DFS we need to change it up and move slightly away from the rest of the field.

Captain/MVP:
Cooper Kupp ($19,500 DK/$16,000 FD) He’s the no-brainer at the top spot in this one game slate. The NFL’s 2021-2022 leading wideout and go to guy for the Rams has to be considered especially for cash games. Winning lineups most likely will be determined by the pieces built around Kupp tonight.
Co-Captain/MVP:
Tyler Higbee ($8,100 DK/$8,500 FD) The Rams’ starting tight end has been heating up of late, seeing eight to nine targets and catching six balls in each game with two total touchdowns. A very sneaky boom or bust that can also allow more studs in your lineup
Fade: Odell Beckham Jr. ($6,800 DK/$10,500 FD) He should do ok tonight, but his price may be a little too much to swallow. Since the return of the Rams tight end Higbee, Beckham has been pretty touchdown dependent, with his yardage after the catch under 40 yards in his last three games.
Other Studs We Like:
Kyler Murray ($11,200 DK/$17,000 FD) Arizona will need him to come thru tonight and their future is in his hands, and legs. Murray has the duel threat capability of a strong arm and quick feet, which will be needed because of the questionable tag on running back James Connor. He’s punched in five touchdowns this season and averaged 50 yards on the ground over the past three games.
Zach Ertz ($6,200 DK/$9,000 FD) The Cardinals have utilized their mid-season trade acquisition of the All-Pro tight end. Capping off the end of the regular season Ertz has averaged 11 targets in his last four games, catching 28 balls for 273 yards.
A. J. Green ($5,800 DK/$8,000 FD) He’s come up big for the Cards in both meetings against L. A. this season. The veteran had a total of 12 receptions for 169 yards and a touchdown.
Van Jefferson ($5,200 DK/$8,000 FD) The second year gadget guy out of Florida has been nursing a bum shoulder but has been able to practice this week. If he is a go he has big play capability in a weak Arizona secondary. He’s caught a deep touchdown in each of the contests against the Cardinals.
Value Play:
Antoine Wesley ($1,800 DK/$7,000 FD) There’s not much value tonight besides Wesley, who caught two in the back of the end zone last week. He seen an increased role when rookie Rondale Moore went down in Week 14. If Moore does suit up tonight, Wesley may slide down the ladder in the snap share.
General Strategy: The Monday Night Wildcard finale has a lot of shootout potential. With a point total of 50, look for both teams to be slinging it up and down the field. It’s win or go home time, and both will put it all on the line. Both quarterbacks are looking great, but we like Murray for his added rushing ability, and Stafford has been a little too interception prone lately. Again, you need Kupp obviously, even if he does not over-exceed, he will be in everyone else’s lineup and would be a wash. Be different in a GPP, Kupp at Captain is a safe choice, but may not get you as deep into the pay zone.
