Merry Christmas everyone! Let’s take a look at the tight ends. We have some high-end picks, best values, and some buyer beware picks.
Mark Andrews – ($7,000 DK, $8,000 FD) – Andrews’ price tag is right there with Kelce this week but he’s not as good as a value as you would think. Even though he plays the Bengals who rank 24thin giving up fantasy points to tight ends, Andrews has only averaged 11.35 fantasy points per game in those games and has only been 50 percent consistent. Solid, but not good enough based on his price. I’ll look somewhere else for value this week.
Travis Kelce – BEWARE – ($7,300 DK, $7,800 FD) – You know Kelce is having a down year when he’s not the most expensive tight end by a landslide. Kelce has a tough matchup this week as he plays at home versus a good defense. The Steelers rank eighth in giving up the fewest points to tight ends so far this season. Kelce has not fared well in these game scenarios by only averaging 9.06 fantasy points per game and has only been 60 percent consistent in those games. Just like Andrews, I’m going to look at some other values.

Best Value – TE – CJ Uzomah – ($3,000 DK, $5,000 FD) – It’s been since Week 7 when we talked about Uzomah because he was going to play the Ravens. That week, the UZI put up 24.1 fantasy points. Well, guess what? UZI plays the Ravens this week and they still suck at giving up fantasy points as they rank 28th overall. I love the UZI this week!
Best Mid-Value – TE – Jared Cook – ($3,500 DK, $5,100 FD) – Cook has been very consistent this year, but he has done well in good matchups against bad defenses this season. This week, he gets the Texans on the road. The Texans rank 25th in giving up fantasy points to tight ends so far this season. Cook has averaged 10.65 fantasy points and has been 100 percent consistent in those games. He’s a nice alternative to the other values this week.
Overall, this week we are seeing some potentially huge values but a few people to stay away from that we normally give a full endorsement.
