Jrue Holiday

We have a tough nine game slate for NBA DFS tonight, as we don’t have a ton of plays that stand out above the crowd. We have a lot of guys that look solid between the nine games, but it won’t be easy picking out absolute priorities. We are waiting on some huge news from the Miami Heat, as we could be looking at another crazy value situation with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo sidelined. Our core plays here will cover guys we like with the news we know now, as well as one fade from the top end. Our premium content goes over some of our favorite options from the Heat if Butler and Adebayo sit, as well as some more news we are keeping an eye on.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 12/1/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardJ. Holiday $6,900
Shooting Guard
Small Forward
Power Forward
CenterPJ. Washington  $5,100
Guard
Forward
Utility

It has been a tough season for Jrue Holiday, who has dealt with injuries and efficiency issues this year. However, the production has looked like its coming back to normal for Holiday here and he is as cheap as ever at $6,900. Holiday went for 40 FPTS last time out, and he is averaging 37.6 FPTS over the last ten days. Holiday is a good DFS producer, as he can amass all five of the stats for fantasy. Holiday has been taking on higher usage and playing regular minutes lately, so we really like getting to him while he is still under $7,000.

One guy who we liked last time out was PJ Washington as he is looking fully recovered from his injury and playing on a Charlotte team without Mason Plumlee. Washington was slightly disappointing at $5,100 last time out, but we really like the 32 minutes he played. Washington is a great DFS producer whose price was closer to $7,000 by the end of last season. If he is going to play this kind of floor time he is too cheap here and could easily go for a huge game.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 12/1/21 (using DraftKings Values)

There has been a trend on DraftKings this year, guys have been getting priced up after one or two good games but do not get priced down despite long periods of disappointing games. Paul George really should not be any higher than $9.000 at max at this point, yet he is still $10,200 here. It is hard to even fathom where this price comes from at this point, as George typically produces between 35 and 45 FPTS. George must have one of his huge nights to avoid being a massive disappointment, as he is averaging under 40 FPTS across his past ten games.

Now what do you get if you sign up now for $99?
• One star guard who remains cheap here.
• A stud who is way to cheap coming back from injury.
• Our favorite superstar for tonight.
• Potential priorities from the Miami Heat.

Point Guard

Malcom Brogdon – PG ($7,700 DK) With the role Brogdon has in the Pacers offense, he always has the upside to go for a massive night. Indiana has a good matchup against the Hawks tonight, so we really like getting to Brogdon while he is cheap. We usually see Brogdon play close to 40 minutes with high usage in close games, so we know he can crush here.

Shooting Guard

Caris LeVert  ($5,400 DK) LeVert has been slowly playing himself back to peak shape after all the injuries he dealt with in the past two years. LeVert is only $5,400 here, and he is averaging over 30 minutes across the past four games. LeVert has a ton of upside in this spot as he can easily go for over 30 FPTS with this kind of floor time. We expect the price to rise fast on LeVert now that he is playing good minutes, so this is the perfect opportunity to draft him.

Small Forward

Lu Dort  ($5,600 DK) The value on Dort is decreasing here as his price has been rising, but he is still too cheap here and we like getting to him. Dort always plays over 30 minutes if it stays close, and usually we see him put up a ton of shots. We saw him show upside over 50 FPTS recently, and with the role he plays a huge ceiling is always there.

Power Forward

Chimezie Metu  ($3,800 DK) The Sacramento Kings were without Harrison Barnes and Marvin Bagley last time out, which led to a 36 minute opportunity for Metu. Metu crushed last time out with over 35 FPTS. We do not expect him to be quite that good, but we do expect him to play well over 30 minutes if Barnes and Bagley sit again. If that is the case Metu looks like the best value on the slate.

Center

Nikola Jokic – ($11,800 DK) Jokic came back from injury last time out, and he looked like his normal self with 56.75 FPTS. Jokic is our favorite superstar tonight, as he is the best DFS producer in the NBA right now. He is the first guy we are building around for Cash games, as we expect him to feast against Orlando tonight.

General strategy

The first thing we must mention here is the Miami Heat guys. We saw a massive opportunity for a lot of the Heat players last time without Butler, and Adebayo is also questionable here. If Butler sits, we really like getting to Tyler Herro and Max Strus, while Kyle Lowry also looks very strong. Dwayne Dedmon is an obvious value if he gets the nod at center without Adebayo. If both Adebayo and Butler sit here, we are getting to a ton of Lowry and Herro, and all the Heat rotation pieces will look good.
