We have a tough nine game NBA DFS slate tonight, as there are not too many plays that really stand above the crowd here. There are some solid plays across the price spectrum tonight, but there is not anyone that offers a crazy amount of value. We are still happy getting to the Orlando Magic tonight, as we know that Cole Anthony is still out for tonight. We are also waiting on some interesting news from the magic as Mo Bamba is questionable for this one. Our other big questionable tags are Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro on the Miami Heat. Our free content for tonight will focus on two plays that look really good with the information we have now, as well as one star we are fading here tonight. Our premium content will include a few more priorities as well as who we like if some of the questionable guys end up out.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 11/29/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardL. Doncic $11,300
Shooting Guard
Small Forward
Power ForwardP. Washington $5,100
Center
Guard
Forward
Utility

Luka Doncic has not missed a beat since coming back from injury two games ago. Doncic played 37 and 41 minutes in the two games he has played scoring well over 50 FPTS in each of them. We do not know if Nikola Jokic is going to play, as his questionable tags keep turning to out. If Jokic sits that leaves Doncic as the clear superstar at the top of this slate, as his floor looks a lot better then the other spend up options. Doncic is the stud we will be paying for in Cash games, and we like getting to a lot of him in tournaments with his upside.

Another guy who looks good since returning from injury has been PJ Washington for the Charlotte Hornets. Washington played 35 minutes last game, and we expect him to get a ton of run at center in this spot with Mason Plumlee sidelined. Washington is cheap at $5,100, as we saw him closer to $7,000 late last year. The Hornets have a solid matchup with the Chicago bulls tonight, so we have no reason to get away from Washington in this spot.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 11/29/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Its hard to imagine why Paul George has gotten more expensive since a disappointing performance last time out against the Warriors. George is $10,200 in this spot despite not hitting the 50 FPT mark in six games. George’s production has not been all that much better then last year less a few huge games to start the season, yet he is still being priced as if he is in the top tier of producers in the NBA. Everything has to go right for George to even hit value, and we have some much more enticing options in a similar price range.

Now what do you get if you sign up now for $99?
A superstar center with massive upside.
• One star guard who is getting cheap for who he is.
• A priority from the Orlando Magic.
• Potential priorities from the Heat if Butler and Herro sit

Point Guard

Jalen Suggs – PG ($5,300 DK) Suggs has gotten a bit more expensive here, but we are still happy playing him in this spot without Anthony. When Anthony sits Suggs plays a much larger role as the key guard for this team. Suggs has scored over 26 FPTS in each outing without the Magic, and there is upside here for a big game that we haven’t seen yet.

Shooting Guard

Donovan Mitchell  ($8,100 DK) Mitchell has been slightly underwhelming so far this season, averaging 39.8 FPTS per game so far. However, his price is coming down and we can get him for about $1,000 less then where he was typically priced last year. He really stands out over the other options in this price range, and a big game from him works well in our lineup. Mitchell has good matchup against Portland tonight, so we like betting on him to show a bit of upside.

Small Forward

Robert Covington  ($3,800 DK) With a few superstars that we really like, we are going to have to find some budget plays to take chances on. One guy we really like tonight is Covington, as he is cheap for his standard production. Covington has gone for 24 FPTS or more in five out of his last six contests, and we always see him play solid run. We know that Norman Powell is out tonight, so the other forwards for the Blazers should get a few extra minutes. Any boost to what Covington normally does could make him a terrific value.

Power Forward

Wendell Carter Jr  ($6,300 DK) Carter has been absolutely crushing lately. He has scored 40 and 48 FPTS respectively in his past two games, and we have seen him take on huge usage without Anthony. Carter too cheap for how good he has been lately, and he will look even better here if Mamba sits. We expect Carter to be high owned because of how good he has been, so he is a priority for Cash games over tournaments.,

Center

Joel Embiid – ($10,500 DK) Embiid came back from a three-week injury hiatus last game, and he dominated with 70 FPTS. Embiid showed that he is not going to be playing limited minutes coming off the injury, and he is playing at his usual level. Embiid has some of the best upside on the slate and he could absolutely dominate against the Orlando Magic.

General strategy

Our general strategy for tonight is going to be focused on who we like if certain guys end up out. As we mentioned Carter looks fantastic if Mamba sits, and all of the Magic starters could see higher usage. Robin Lopez will become one of our favorite value options if Bamba sits, as that should open the door for him to see a nice minute’s boost. For the Heat, Kyle Lowry would become a lock for us if both Butler and Herro sit. If Butler sits and Herro plays, then we will like Herro where he is priced for this one. If either of Butler or Herro are out here then we are going to use a lot of Gabe Vincent and Max Strus for value, who both saw a ton of minutes in Herro’s absence last time out. Keep an eye out on the news here, as the value situation gets flipped on its head if a few guys are ruled out.
