Kristaps Porzingis

We have nine NBA games to breakdown for tonight’s DFS slate, and there is a lot we like for this one. Between some big injuries and some crazy price tags, we have a ton of value to use here. We know that Luka Doncic is doubtful to return tonight, so the Dallas Mavericks are our favorite team to look at right now. We also have a few questionable tags today as Steph Curry and Jaylen Brown are among the key names we are stilling waiting to hear news on here. Our core plays tonight will be one guy who is way too cheap, and one priority from the Mavericks. We will also get to one stud who we are going to be fading tonight. Our premium content will get to the rest of our priorities across the slate, as well as our top options if certain guys get ruled out.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 11/19/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Point Guard
Shooting Guard
Small Forward.
Power ForwardK. Porzingis $7,800
CenterK. Birch $3,000
Guard
Forward
Utility

Over the past three games Kristaps Porzingis has been the aggressive offensive producer the Mavericks need him to be, and the continued absence of Doncic looks very good for his scoring. Porzingis was nice last time out without Doncic, scoring 48 FPTS on 20 shot attempts. Porzingis scored 56.25 and 47.75 FPTS respectively in his past two games. Porzingis is the number one guy for this team without Doncic, and as we saw last game he can stuff any of the five stat categories. Porzingis has gotten a bit more expensive at $7,800, but he is still to cheap for the role he is playing right now.

The Toronto Raptors are dealing with another wave of injuries, as OG Anunoby and Precious Achiuwa are sidelined right now. Last night that meant the first start of the season for Khem Brich, who went for 22.8 FPTS in 24 minutes. Birch has been dealing with injuries this season, so there is a chance he is rested in the back to back here. However, if Birch is in the starting spot again tonight he looks like a tremendous value at $3,000.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 11/19/21 (using DraftKings Values)

It feels wrong fading a player of Kevin Durant’s caliber two slates in a row, but there is no reason for him to be $11,4000 right now. Durant was our fade last time, and we were proven right by a 33 FPT performance. We need 60+ FPTS from Durant at this price point, and he has not produced that since on the first games of the season. Durant is usually consistent, but his upside has not been there to merit this price.

Now what do you get if you sign up now for $99?
• A cheap guard who has been showing massive upside
• An MVP level center who has been exploding lately
• One budget big man we expect to play massive minutes
• A wing from Dallas who has been taking over a lot of the usage in the absence of Luka Doncic

Point Guard

Patty Mills – PG ($3,800 DK) The nets have been thin all year as Kyrie Irving remains inactive. Furthermore, Joe Harris was added to the sideline a few slates ago. Mills has had to play a ton of minutes since Harris got hurt and he has thrived in the opportunity. We have seen Mills play over 30 minutes in three straight games, in which he scored 38.5, 19.5, and 29.5 FPTS respectively. Mills is way too cheap tonight for the role he is playing, and he is a budget priority for us no matter who else gets ruled out.

Shooting Guard

Tim Hardaway Jr  ($5,500 DK) With the news that Luka Doncic is likely going to be out again tonight, Hardaway looks like one of the best plays on the slate at this price. Hardaway played 37 minutes last time and put up 23 shot attempts. Hardaway went for 35.5 FPTS last game, and there is upside for even more given how much Dallas relies on his offence with Doncic sidelined.

Small Forward

Franz Wagner  ($4,300 DK) Wagner keeps producing great value and he keeps getting cheaper. He has scored over 28 FPTS in three of his past four games, and he has played at least 32 minutes in five straight games. Wager is a good rebounder, and he gets up solid usage for this team. He should be at least $5,000 with his role right now so he looks great for value at $4,300.

Power Forward

Jeremiah Robinson-Earl – ($3,400 DKLike Wagner, Robinson-Earl has been great the past few slates and he keeps getting cheaper. He has consistently played well over 20 minutes each game for four straight slates, and he has been producing at a great rate for this price. Robinson-Earl scored 25 or more FPTS in three of his past four games, while still hitting ok value with 17 FPTS in the fourth. He is too cheap tonight and one of the first guys we will go to for super cheap value.

Center

Nikola Jokic – ($12,000 DK) We have a ton of value tonight with plays like Birch, Mills and Robinson-Earl. We are going to have a lot of salary sitting around that we need huge upside from. The top of this slate is not as good as the bottom, but Jokic stands out right now in terms of raw production. The Nuggets don’t have a ton of options with Jamal Murray and Mchael Porter Jr. sidelined, so we have seen Jokic have to really take over. The Nuggets have a fantastic matchup against the Chicago Bulls tonight, who have a weak front court right now. Jokic has the best upside on the slate, and with this much value that is all we need to know for him to be a priority.

General strategy

This slate looks fantastic so far, as we have a lot of plays that look great but are a bit less obvious for ownership. For Cash games tonight we know we are using a ton of Mavericks along with Birch and Jokic. For tournaments there are a ton of directions to go on this slate, and it is a good night for playing multiple lineups if possible. The big injury news we are waiting on here is Curry. Curry was questionable last night and ended up playing, but he could sit tonight as it is back-to-back. If Curry is out a lot of Warriors look great, as Jordan Poole, Andrew Wiggins, and Gary Payton II all look good. Damion Lee will be an absolute lock if Curry sits.
