NBA DFS Advice for November 15, 2021

We have a massive eleven game NBA DFS slate to breakdown here, and we have a lot of moving parts that we must go over for this one. The first thing we must mention here is the questionable tags, as a few huge names could potentially be out tonight. Jimmy Butler, Fred VanVleet and Damian Lillard are all questionable here, and their absences would create some priorities. We have seen the Heat and Raptors play the last game without Butler and VanVleet respectively, and it led to some huge opportunities. As always, our core plays are going to be two guys who we know look fantastic with the news we already have. As well as one stud who we are looking to fade on this slate. In our premium content we will go over all of our priorities right now, as well as a breakdown of who we will like if 

Butler, VanVleet or Lillard sit.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 11/15/21 (using DraftKings Values)

We already got the news that Bradley Beal is going to remain out tonight for the Washington Wizards. Beal is the highest usage Wizard by far, so when he sits there is a big opportunity for everyone else. We are all over Spencer Dinwiddie at $6,500 here, as he has been phenomenal in two games this season without Beal. We expect Dinwiddie to dominate in these situations, as he becomes the clear go to ball handler for Washington. He has scored 57.5 and 49.25 FPTS respectively in the two games without Beal, and his usage has been fantastic. The Wizards have a good matchup here against New Orleans, and we are looking for another big night from Dinwiddie.

We are staying with the Wizards for our second core play here as Aaron Holiday looks fantastic for value tonight. We may have more value open on Miami or Toronto if guys are out, but we know we will be getting to Holiday regardless. Holiday saw the bulk of Beal’s minutes last time out, as he played 35 minutes. He scored 25 FPTS and is still only $3,500 for tonight. If Holiday gets the start for the Wizards again, he will be a priority for us in terms of Budget plays.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 11/15/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Domantas Sabonis is the star we are passing on tonight, as he has not been taking enough usage to show consistent upside. Sabonis has been taking less shots than we would expect, and he has not scored more then 20 real points once in six games. The Knicks are good at defending inside, so we do not expect Sabonis to be able to dominate the glass or easily score. Sabonis is cheap here at $8,800, but that does not do anything for us if he does not show upside.

Point Guard

Anfernee Simons – PG ($3,500 DK) The Portland Trailblazers were without there leading guy in Damian Lillard last night, which led to a massive opportunity for Anfernee Simons. Simons got the starting nod without Lillard, and he ended scoring 30.25 FPTS in 28 minutes. If Lillard is out again tonight, we would expect Simons to start and see another nice opportunity. He is still the same $3,500 we got him for last night, so he will be a priority for value if we get the news Lillard is still sidelined.

Shooting Guard 

Talen Horton-Tucker – ($3,000 DK) Last night we saw the Lakers give the starting not to Horton-Tucker, who was yet to see any floor time this season. Horton-Tucker played 27 minutes last night, and he went for 27 FPTS. We really liked what we saw from him on the floor, as he took high usage and did well with it. THT shot seven of fourteen from the field last night, and he did relatively well with peripheral stats. If this was not a back to back there is no way THT would still be the minimum price tonight, so we are getting some great value here. If we get the news that Horton-Tucker is starting again tonight, he will another one of our favorite cheap plays tonight. 

Small Forward 

Kevin Huerter – ($3,800 DK) De’Andre Hunter remains out for the Hawks tonight, and his absence has led to a fantastic role for Huerter. Huerter has been starting in Hunters place, and has played 39, 30 and 33 minutes respectively in his past three games. Huerter has shown some solid production in this span, showing 42.25 FPT upside. Huerter is too cheap tonight for the role he has been playing without Hunter, so he still looks fantastic for value in this spot.

Power Forward 

Kyle Kuzma – ($6,700 DK) With Beal out for the Wizards, we expect to see a big boost in usage to Kuzma. Kuzma was nice last time out, as he went for 38.5 FPTS. However, we still think there is a lot more room for upside in terms of shot attempts, as we expect Kuzma could put up more then the 14 shots he got up last time out. Kuzma has gotten a bit more expensive here, but we are still happy paying this price given that Beal is sidelined. With an easy matchup against New Orleans, there is some fantastic upside here for Kuzma.

Center

Anthony Davis – ($10,400 DK) With all the fantastic cheap plays on this slate, we are going to have the salary to roster a few guys at the very top. Davis is our favorite superstar on this slate, as he is about $1,000 cheaper than the other producers on his level. Davis really shouldn’t be that much less than anybody tonight, as he has been fantastic in his time on the floor without LeBron James. The absence of James has been great for Davis, as he has shown much more upside. He has scored well over 60 FPTS three times in his last five healthy games, and he went for 69.75 FPTS last time out. The Bulls frontcourt is weak without Vucevic, as we literally saw them start Alex Caruso at the power forward last night. It is going to be tough for Chicago to try and stop Davis here, and we are betting they won’t be able to slow him down at all.

General strategy 

We have a lot of questionable news to go over here, as a few teams could either look very good or bad for DFS tonight. Starting with the Raptors, they are a little expensive tonight if VanVleet can play. However, if VanVleet sits a few Raptors look great. Goran Dragic started last time and would be a priority, as he scored 31.8 FPTS in 28.1 minutes. Pascal Siakam, Gary Trent Jr. and OG Anunoby also look solid here, however none of them would be locks for us. If Lillard sits tonight, Simons becomes one of the best value options on the slate as we already mentioned. We are also very happy getting to CJ McCollum and Norman Powell, who were both disappointing in a blowout loss last night. McCollum and Powell will probably both go less rostered than they should be if Lillard sits tonight, so we will be using them a lot for GPP’s. The last potential injury news we must discuss here is Jimmy Butler, whose absence led to a big opportunity for some guys last time out. If Butler is out tonight we really like getting back to Tyler Herro, who has not been priced up despite some great production when Butler was out. Bam Adebayo also looks like a fantastic spend up option if Butler sits.
