This season is already providing tons of amazing storylines to follow. There are so many we cannot even attempt to get to them all which is too bad because there are some truly good ones to tell. Last night Hendrix Lapierre scored his first NHL goal in his first NHL game. This guy was consensus top three pick in last year’s draft until a neck injury caused a big scare and almost derailed his career. He dropped in the draft, yet managed to succeed last year and have a great camp this year to make the team when no one expected it. This kid is going places.
Here’s a beastly lineup For DFS Hockey 10/14/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Wing | A. Lee | $7,200 |
Wing | ||
Wing | $4,100 | |

Utility | $3,600 |
With Auston Matthews making sure his wrist is good before the season starts you would be a fool not to take a long look at John Tavares. He is the Maple Leafs captain after all. It is also worth noting that the Senators are putting Forsberg in net which does not bode well for Ottawa. There is also Alexander Barkov to consider. The Panthers are going to be a friggin wagon this year. He just signed a deal that keeps him in the Sunshine State for
Anders Lee is at a surprisingly high cost for someone who missed the end of last season due to injury. He looked great in the preseason though and we know he has been itching to get back on Mat Barzal’s wing. He very well could have been the missing piece that could have gotten the Islanders into the Stanley Cup Finals. He is a big man with big dreams.
We actually have two bargain players today that we will be touching on. One is a veteran winger who has earned a top line spot on a sick team. The other is not the biggest dude on the ice but this guy hustles every shift. He already has a point this season and will be gunning for more out of the gate.
We have one more note for those of you who are perusing players. DraftKings is still showing last year’s stats so do not get too confused by what points have been scored and when. Their UI will not help you right now, which is why we are here! Get ahead of everyone else with the team that is up day and night digging through stats.
Now what do you get if you sign up now?
• Another marquee player who just signed his deal this morning. Get after it!
• A comparison of two highly touted centers to back up your big boy.
• Up to the day valuations of players to keep you ahead of the curve.
Brady Tkachuk signed in Ottawa! The man got his bag and boy is it heavy. Just over eight million for the next seven years. To all the Senators fans and anyone else saying it is too high for his production: you are right, but the Sens have the cap space and he is worth more than just his on ice production. The guy is electric.
Ryan Strome and Jared McCann are right next to each other in price and that feels nice. Strome just cleared being healthy this morning as he was getting back to game ready so there is the slightest concern there but he is playing with Panarin and Kaako who are going to tear it up this year. McCann is healthier but has a lot more to prove on that Seattle roster. Can he be their top line center while Gourde gets better?
If you are looking to round out your roster with some steals we have you covered. Kyle Palmieriand Josh Anderson are a lot of bang for your buck. Palmieri has found his way onto a line with Mat Barzal and Anders Lee. Fantastic stack to start the season. Anderson has already set up linemates Jonathan Drouin for a goal and has been buzzing. He did not look like he was beat down by the grueling playoff schedule and is ready to go. If DraftKings scored hits he would be an elite talent.
That’s all for today, folks. Check us out on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) and do not forget the Costco popcorn, this season is going to be a wild ride. Take care and have a great Thursday.
