Closing out week four will be an exciting battle in the AFC West between the Las Vegas Raiders and the LA Chargers. Derek Carr leads his 3-0 Raiders into LA to try and stay undefeated against Justin Herbert and his electrifying Chargers. This game has shootout potential as both quarterbacks are not afraid to air it out. Both quarterbacks so far have combined for over 2,000 yards and 12 touchdown passes this season.

So who will be on the receiving end on both sides of this gun fight? Both have been spreading the ball over the course of the three games this season, but it’s safe to say that Darren Waller and Mike Williams will be heavily involved for each side. Williams in three games has 22 receptions for 295 yards and four touchdowns; compared to Waller’s 20 catches for 224 yards and one touchdown.

Captain/MVP:
Keenan Allen ($13,200 DK/$12,500 FD) has taken a backseat as the top receiving option in the Charger offense due to the breakout of Mike Williams. Allen’s price has dropped significantly because of this, so placing him at Captain/MVP would leave us with more salary and still give us the upside of a big game out of him. He’s still getting the volume, just no the touchdowns. So far Allen has caught 21 balls for 258 yards and 1 touchdown, and most importantly the targets are still there…33.
Who to Fade:
Josh Jacobs ($7,600 DK/$12,000 FD) has been with a questionable tag and been banged up in the short season. He may not play, but if he does for who knows how long he will be out there. Jacobshasn’t played since the last Monday night game against Baltimore, so he may be limited if he’s out there due to an ankle injury.
Other Studs We Like:
Austin Ekeler ($9,600 DK/$13,500 FD) has been tearing it up in the backfield for LA averaging almost five yards a carry with a total of 166 yards, and catching an astounding 15 balls this season. The Raiders have been gashed by opposing running backs bleeding out 120 yards per game.
Hunter Renfrow ($5,800 DK/$9,500 FD) is the Raiders’ gadget receiver and Derek Carr’s go to guy on third down. He’s caught 16 of 22 targets this season for 204 yards and a touchdown.
Jared Cook ($4,400 DK/$7,500 FD) The veteran tight end has found a new home and some chemistry with Justin Herbert. He’s only caught ten balls for 111 yards this season, but the volume is there and is worth the play at his price tag.
Value at Flex:
Zay Jones ($1,800 DK/$6,500 FD) We all saw him catch the game winning touchdown against Baltimore two weeks ago in that Monday night thriller. He can definitely do it again, one deep pass from Carr and he hits his puny salary.
Justin Jackson ($200 DK/$7,000 FD) Is Ekeler’s back up, and at that minimum price all it takes is one big run or catch out of the backfield.
General Strategy:
Tonight will be tough to stack two receivers with their respective QB, so it’s best to just pick a side. LA’s defense is much better than Vegas’ so safe bet is to take Herbert at home. As far as Vegas, Carr is throwing the ball over 40 times a game, so placing a couple of his receivers or tight ends in your flex is a way to get some action on the other side of the ball.
