We have nine games today with the first pitch at 7:05 PM EST. Today’s slate of games is highlighted by Austin Meadows and the Tampa Bay Rays, taking on Rafeal Devers and the Boston Red Sox in Boston. The highest implied run totals tonight sit with the Atlanta Braves (5.7), Oakland Athletics (4.9), and the Cincinnati Reds (4.8).
We shouldn’t see any weather-related delays or postponements today with the chances of rain below 20 percent for all of today’s games.
Here is a selection of today’s Core Players 50-50 MLB DFS lineup for 9/08/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Yu Darvish – P ($10,600) – Much like Snell last night, Darvish has been a different pitcher at home. He has an ERA more than two runs lower at home and batters have an average 35 points lower as well. He has had some struggles as of late, but I would look for Darvish to have a good start today.
Travis d’Arnaud – C ($3,800) – Recently d’Arnaud has started to get his bat going. He has two home runs, and a double in his last three games, and at least one hit in six of his last seven.
Marcus Semien – 2B ($5,000) – Semien has hits in each of his last seven games, and he has four home runs in his last three games and five of his last six. With this game in Yankee stadium facing a rookie starter, I wouldn’t be surprised if he hit another home run today.
Cedric Mullins – OF ($4,500) – Over his last four games, Mullins has been as good as anyone in baseball. He has three home runs, two doubles and a steal in those four games, and he likely won’t be challenged by the Royals pitchers today.
Austin Meadows–OF ($4,500) – With the rate that the Rays you will want to try and get a piece of their lineup. Meadows himself has been a big part of their offence with hits in seven straight games, and a double and two home runs in his last three games.

The Pitchers
Alek Manoah ($8,400 DK) A lot of people will shy away from Manoah today with him facing the Yankees in New York, but the Yankee’s bats have gone a little cold over the last two weeks with a team triple slash of 0.224/0.288/0.376. Manoah on the other hand has given up two runs or less in two of his last three starts and could provide you with a lot of value at his price.
Freddy Peralta ($10,200) – I would be cautious with the use of Peralta today. He hasn’t gone more than two innings in each of his last two starts, and he has given up runs in each, so I would try to use him in GPP’s only. He is capable of striking out ten batters and going six innings, but at his price, you will have to have that for him to hit value.
Adam Wainwright ($8,100) – Wainwright continues to get it done for the Cardinals. He has gotten the win in seven of his last eight starts, while only giving up more than two runs on time. The strikeouts aren’t always there, but if he can limit the number of runs he gives up he will hit value with relative ease.
The Value Players
Bobby Dalbec – 1B ($3,400) – In Dalbac’s last three games he has two multi-hit games, to go along with two doubles and two home runs. Dalbec has started to sneak up closer to the middle of the Red Sox order which only adds to his value.
Nicky Lopez – SS ($3,700) – While Lopez isn’t much of a home run threat, he is a very consistent hitter, who has three multi-hit games in his last four games with a double and a steal. With this game in Baltimore, and him facing the woeful Matt Harvey, we could see a nice game from Lopez.
Tyler O’Neill- OF ($3,700) – When O’Neill is hitting he is often hitting for extra bases. He has six hits in his last three games and three of those hits were for extra bases (two doubles and a home run). The Cardinals won’t be facing one of the Dodgers aces today so I wouldn’t be afraid to use a player like O’Neill.
The Stacks
Cincinnati Reds – The Reds have been a really fun team this year, they score lots of runs, and today is likely no different. I would look at a stack of Jonathan India, Nick Castellanos, and Tyler Naquin going up against the Cubs.
Toronto Blue Jays – With the Yankees having to go to the bullpen early yesterday, and a rookie starting today, the Blue Jays could be in a great position to score a lot of runs today. Alejandro Kirk has been hitting well, we talked about Marcus Semien, and you can look at someone like Lourdes Gurriel Jr. if you can’t afford to break the bank for Vladimir Guerrero Jr. today.
Atlanta Braves – We discussed d’Arnaud, and if you’re going to stack the Braves tonight, I would go to Adam Duvall who had a big game last night, and Ozzie Albies who has been their best hitter over the last few weeks.
