As we head into Darlington Race Week, we will have to look at drivers’ stats and history from this course and other similar courses as we build our lineup this week. This week we are going to focus on finding value by looking at previous top contenders at Darlington the past couple of years. There are quite a few value drivers that you can insert into your lineup. Let’s now take a deep dive into who I think you can insert into your lineup for the In It to Win It 200 at Darlington Raceway.

Past Winners/Track Knowledge

It’s time for the NASCARs Truck Series to take their best shot winning at Darlington Raceway. The Truck Series raced at Darlington in 2020 where Ben Rhodes left victorious. This will be a 200.8-mile race where the drivers will be tasked with completing 147 laps around the Raceway. Darlington Raceway is a 1.336-mile Raceway, with an asphalt surface. This raceway is home to 4 turns that will push drivers to the limit. The best part about Darlington is that each turn has its own set of challenges that the drivers must overcome. With Darlington being a tricky track with a history there is a lot of data to sift through as we build out winning lineup.

Below is a lineup that we believe can provide the best value for the In It to Win It 200 at Darlington Raceway on 09/05/2021 (DraftKings Values)

Driver #1Grant Enfinger $ 10,100
Driver #2Ben Rhodes $ 9,400

A-List Premium Price Drivers

Grant Enfinger ($10,400)

Picking part-time drivers in DFS has its pros and cons, but with how well Grant Enfinger has raced this season, honestly how can you not pick him. So far, in 2021 Enfinger has five top five finishes and eight top 10 finishes. I think it goes without saying that Enfinger’s best year in the Truck Series was 2020. As a full time, driver, he finished the season with four wins (Daytona, Atlanta, Richmond, and Martinsville), eight top-five finishes, 13 top 10 finishes, and 156 laps led. The four wins were a career high. I do not see why Enfinger cannot get into the top 10 this weekend. If he does you will be happy he is in your lineup. Enfinger has raced at Darlington twice over the last three years where he has two top five finishes. That is pretty good if you ask me. Enfinger has consistently showed that he is an excellent racer at Darlington, and I think he provides huge value this weekend.

Ben Rhodes ($9,400)

Before I even get into how he has done at this racetrack or how he did last year, just put Ben Rhodes in your lineup and move on. Rhodes is one of four drivers with more than one win this year, along with John Hunter Nemechek, Auston Hill, and Sheldon Creed. Rhodes pulled off wins at the first two races at Daytona this year. He then followed that up with three other top five finishes this year and had been electric all year. Rhodes was extremely close to winning at the last Darlington race earlier this year where he finished second. Rhodes has been dynamite this year and for what it is worth he was pretty good last year too. I will say only, but how is he only worth $9,400 this week, blows me away. The value here is astounding, not very often do you get the reigning winner at a track for only $9,400. As I started earlier, just put him in your lineup and move on, you do not see value like this often.

B-List Value Drivers

Jordan Anderson ($7,900)

I am trying a few different things this week with my lineup by choosing drivers who I think will start near the rear of the starting field. With Darlington being raced twice in the last three years in the Trucks Series, I see this week as a time to experiment. In last year’s race at Darlington Jordan Anderson finished 24th, which of course is not great, but I want to give him a shot this week. Anderson however followed that up with a 10th place finish earlier this year at Darlington. 2020 was Andersons best season so far and can provide lots of value this week and in the future. The Truck Series is dominated by the top-end drivers and finding the diamonds in the rough like Anderson can be key to winning your matchups. Look for Anderson to get into the top 20 this week and get you some point differential points.

Derrick Kraus ($7,700)

Last year’s race at Darlington Raceway was Derek Kraus’s best race of the year in 2020. Kraus started 13th on the day and raced his way to a second-place finish. As a 19-year-old in the series, Kraus has shown excellent potential while racing in the truck series and I believe is an excellent sleeper this week. Also, as a rookie, Kraus was able to improve his track position in 15 of 23 races, not bad for a rookie. So far in 2021 Kraus has one top five finish and four top 10 finishes. This could be another diamond in the rough pick this week.

Tanner Gray ($7,400)

Returning for his second full time season Tanner Gray is driving the Number 15 Ford F-150 for David Gilliland Racing. In Tanners rookie season, he earned four top five finishes and eight top 10 finishes. Outside of his eight races where he finished top 10, he had an average finish of 16.1 in 2020. I really like Gray at his price point this week. Gray has put together 10 top 20 finishes this year and I think he adds another. Another thing to keep in mind is that Gray has moved up in 10 of 17 races this year.

C-List Sleeper Pick Drivers

Carson Hocevar ($7,200)

As an 18-year-old Carson Hocevar is having an excellent 2021 as a full-time driver. His first year being full time. So far, he has three top five finishes at Daytona, Darlington, and Charlotte and six top 10 finishes. His best finish of the year was at Charlotte where he finished second. He added another top 10 finish at Circuit of Americas and has finished top 20 in eight of 13 races this year. Hocevar is really putting it all together this year and is starting to show that he can be a successful driver. I think he could be in for another top 10 finish or better this week.

Now go win your matchup and let us know how you did.

Or if I picked every driver that will be in that lap 146 crash, I encourage you to let me hear it.
