We have fourteen games today with the first pitch at 7:05 PM EST. Today’s slate of games is highlighted by Buster Posey and the San Francisco Giants, taking Matt Olson and the Oakland Athletics in Oakland. The highest implied run totals tonight sit with the Colorado Rockies (6.8), New York Yankees (6.4), and the Atlanta Braves (6.2).
There is a less than 20 percent chance of rain for all of the games tonight so we shouldn’t see any games delayed or postponed.
Here is a selection of today’s Core Players 50-50 MLB DFS lineup for 8/20/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Outfield | Teoscar Hernandez | $5,000 |
Walker Buehler- P ($10,700) – Buehler has now gone five straight games without giving up more than one run. He will face the same Mets team that he struck out ten times in his last outing as well which is very nice.
Jared Walsh– 1B ($4,000) – Walsh is coming off a three hit day with a double and a couple of RBI’s. He will face a Cleveland team today who is going to use their bullpen so there should be lots of opportunity for Walsh to have a big day.
Jorge Polanco–2B ($3,500) – This is a great price for a player who has four straight multi-hit games and two doubles and a home run in that stretch. Polanco is also near the top of the order so he should get lots of at bats as well.
Juan Soto – OF ($5,800) The cost is high for Soto, but he two doubles and a home run in his last four games, and he has been on base at least twice in seven of his last eight games.
Teoscar Hernandez – OF ($5,000) Expect Hernandez to be chaulky today, given he has hit a home run in four straight games, and he has ten hits in those four games as well. The Blue Jays scored a lot of runs on their last home stand and they will face the Tigers tonight so I expect that trend to continue tonight.

The Pitchers
Chris Sale ($9,700) Sale impressed in his first start of the season last week, going five innings and striking out eight batters. He will face a week hitting Texas team tonight so don’t be surprised if he can go a little deeper into the game and provide a similar strikeout rate.
Blake Snell ($8,000) – Snell looks like he could be turning things around. He has given up two or fewer runs in four of his last five starts, which includes a thirteen-strikeout performance. He will face a Phillies team that has a team batting average of just 0.194 over the last two weeks, so this could be another good start for Snell.
Miles Mikolas ($6,900) – Mikolas will make his season debut tonight, so if you’re going to use him be aware that he likely won’t go much more than five innings. That said we should expect good innings from him as he will be facing the meager offense of Pittsburgh today.
The Value Players
Riley Adams- C ($2,300) – Adams has hit in three straight games, with six hits, two doubles, and a home run in that span. Adams hasn’t had a lot of at-bats this season, but he could be on the upswing, and at a very low price.
Jake Cronenworth –SS ($3,200) – In Cronenworth’s last four games he has two multi-hit games, two doubles, and two home runs. Add to that he will face a Phillies starter with an ERA over 6, and you should see nice value from him today.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. – 1B/OF ($3,300) – Gurriel has a hit in each of the last six games he has started and two home runs. With the Blue Jays back home where they have scored a lot of runs this season, getting a piece like Gurriel at a low price can pay off.
The Stacks
Colorado Rockies – With the Rockies at home, they will see a lot of play tonight. I would start with CJ Cron, who has been hitting very well as of late and add in Charlie Blackmon, and Garrett Hampson to round out your stack.
Atlanta Braves – Braves stacks paid off for people on Thursday, and I would go back again today. Freeman is hitting very well, as is Austin Riley and you can add either Adam Duvall or Dansby Swanson to round it out.
Toronto Blue Jays – We discussed Hernandez and Gurriel Jr, I would add Corey Dickerson to the two of them if you’re looking to keep costs down, but if you have the extra budget space I would go with Marcus Semien who continues to crush it for the Blue Jays.
