We have fourteen games tonight with the first pitch at 7:05 PM EST. Today’s slate of games is highlighted by Juan Soto and the Washington Nationals, taking on Cedric Mullins and the Baltimore Orioles in Baltimore. The highest implied run totals tonight sit with the Los Angeles Dodgers (5.8), Kansas City Royals (5.4) and the Washington Nationals (5.4).
The weather for tonight’s games looks good across the board without a single game having a chance of rain above 20 percent.

Outfield |
Joe Musgrove – P ($8,400) – Three of Musgrove’s last four starts haven’t been great, but he hasn’t been giving up home runs, and it is unlikely that he continues to only leave 62 percent of his runners on base. He will be facing a Marlins team that over the last two weeks has a batting average of just 0.234, and an SLG of 0.358 which is among the five worst in baseball during that stretch.
Ryan Mountcastle – 1B ($3,800) – Mountcastle has hit lefties well better than right-handed pitching this year, and even more so at home where he has hit for a 0.327 batting average against lefties. He isn’t going to cost a whole lot and is capable of exceeding his value today.
Jose Altuve – 2B ($5,300) – Altuve comes into tonight with five hits in his last three games which includes three home runs and a double. If you’re going to pay up for a bat tonight, you should consider Altuve.
Yoán Moncada – 3B ($4,600) – Moncada is another player who has started to heat up. He has hits in seven straight games and he has three home runs and two doubles in his last five games.
Juan Soto – OF ($5,600) With eight hits in his last four games, including three home runs, two doubles and a steal, it’s easy to understand why Soto is priced the way he is, you add in that this game is in Baltimore, and you can also start to understand how he might hit or exceed his value tonight.

The Pitchers
Jake Odorizzi ($8,500 DK) Odorizzi’s last start wasn’t great, but his previous four were really good, giving up just three total runs in those four games. He will be facing a Rangers team that struggled to score runs against Detroit, so this should be a good opportunity for Odorizzi to have a good start and get the win.
Frankie Montas ($8,700) – In Montas’ last four starts, he has gone at least five innings, and he has given up two runs or less in each start. The strikeouts have returned for him in the last two starts which have combined for 17, and he will be in Seattle tonight which is a good place to pitch.
Zack Wheeler ($9,800) – Wheeler has had his struggles recently, but he has given up just one home run over his last seven starts, and he is still striking batters out. This should be a winnable game for the Phillies at home as well which helps justify his value.
The Value Players
Nicky Lopez – 2B/OF ($3,500) – Lopez isn’t the type of player you would typically target, but he does have hits in six of his last seven games and the Royals are expected to be among the higher-scoring team tonight so getting a piece of their offence makes sense.
Jorge Soler – OF ($2,800) – Soler is the opposite of Lopez. He hits for power, but little average, and is a player you will want to try and use when he is hitting. He has hit home runs in back-to-back games, and he is starting to creep up in the Royals order.
Francisco Mejía – C ($3,500) – Mejía has hits in five straight games and he has two triples and a home run in his last three games. Finding value is tough at catcher but the prospects of Mejía look good tonight.
The Stacks
Washington Nationals – You will want to start with Soto here, and you can use Josh Harrison who has been hitting well to help balance out his cost and then add in Josh Bell who hits right in the heart of the order.
Houston Astros – With the Astros having a high expected run total tonight, but there isn’t a lot of good value options. You can use Brantley, and Gurriel to try and save some budget, to add to Altuve as they will both hit in the middle of the lineup.
Kansas City Royals – We touched on the two value players with Lopez and Soler, and with their value, you can easily add in Whit Merrifield and Sal Perez and still have budget to spare.
