The Tampa Bay Lightning took another one from the New York Islanders and they did it in enemy territory. That does not bode well for Long Island who will pretty much need to win the next one at home if they have a chance to win. Tampa looks like the better team but the scores stay close and the Islanders defense is proving tough to crack.
The Vegas Golden Knights have a big roster shift today with their top centerman Chandler Stephenson out of the lineup. We do not know that that will greatly affect their chances to win, but it does change who is going to score you points! The Canadiens are keeping themselves in this in much the same way that the Islanders are with smart defense and fantastic goaltending. They do not have the same scoring touch as Vegas but their lineup is the same. Maybe that consistency can get them over the hump.

Marc Andre Fleury had a tough game so we are going to sit him for one to see if he comes back to form. In the meantime we are going back to Max Pacioretty who is the top ranked skater in this game. He is a powerhouse that does it all. We are also very interested in who will between him and Mark Stone. There is a rumor and we will be talking about that behind the paywall. This line has a lot of potential.
The Golden Knights second line is untouched and they continue to generate high quality chance after high quality chance. You do not always get the fantasy points for their play but you can see why they are always dangerous to score. You can’t go wrong choosing between William Karlsson and Jonathan Marchessault. Take a look at their stats and see which one makes the most sense for your risk tolerance.

Word on the street is that Alex Tuch has been promoted to top center. Coach may still tinker with that spot, especially mid game. He is not a guarantee and we do not remember the last time he played not on the wing so keep an eye on Keegan Kolesar and Mattias Janmark who may slot in at some point. They are cheap options and could be a nice stack depending on where your budget is.
You probably know the drill by now, but you need at least one Vegas defenseman in your lineup. They are all playing well, but Alex Pietrangelo is head and shoulders above the rest. If you do not have the cash to afford him you cannot go wrong with either Alec Martinez or Shea Theodore.
As for Canada the two top options have to be Tyler Toffoli and Cole Caufield. They are pure goal scorers. Plain and simple.
Good luck and have fun. Goals will be scored, fantasy points earned, and winnings to be made. Check us out on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) for all the latest news. Stay cool.
