We have a ten-game slate with first pitches at 1:05 PM EST. Today’s slate of games is highlighted by Fernando Tatis Jr. and the San Diego Padres, taking on Jose Altuve and the Houston Astros. The highest implied run totals tonight sit with the Chicago White Sox (5.3), New York Yankees(5.1), and Minnesota Twins(5.1).
The Miami Marlins and the Boston Red Sox are at risk of being rained out today with a 70 plus percent change of rain in Boston this afternoon, but that looks to be the only game at risk.

Max Scherzer ($10,800)
Scherzer comes into today’s game striking out 36 percent of the batters he has faced. In his last three starts Scherzer has struck out no less than seven batters, and to add to that the Brewers team he is facing strikes out as much as any team in the league.
J.T. Realmuto ($4,100)
Realmuto came off the IL yesterday, and while he didn’t get a hit, he did steal a base. It’s hard to not like this price for the best hitting catchers in baseball. I look for him to have a nice game today.
Rhys Hoskins ($4,200)
Coming into today’s game, Hoskins has hits in seven straight games, including two home run in his last four games. This is a nice price for that kind of production.
Carlos Correa ($4,400)
In Correa’s last three games he has five hits, two home runs, a double, three runs scored, and four RBI. All of that for $4,400 sign me up, oh and he is facing a starter with an ERA over four.
Austin Meadows ($5,400)
Meadows has back-to-back multi-hit games, and in those two games he has accumulated four hits, two home runs, a triple, three runs scored, and seven RBI. He will be facing Zach Eflin tonight who has a near four ERA, which should help him get to value and keep his hot streak going for another day.

Here’s our full 50-50 MLB DFS lineup for 5/30/21 (using DraftKings Values)
Pitcher | Max Scherzer | $10,800
Pitcher | Tarik Skubal | $6,100
Catcher | J.T. Realmuto | $4,100
First Base | Rhys Hoskins | $4,200
Second Base | Jonathan India | $3,400
Third Base | Jeimer Candelario | $2,800
Short Stop | Carlos Correa | $4,400
Outfield | Austin Meadows | $5,400
Outfield | Nelson Cruz | $5,000
Outfield | Tommy Pham | $3,400 |
Salary Remaining $500
Tarik Skubal ($6,100)
In the last three weeks, the Yankees(Skubal’s opponent) has struck out 28.5 percent of the time against left-handed pitching. Skubal has had trouble getting out of the fifth inning in his last two starts, but in two of those three starts he has only given up two runs, and has struck out nine batters. If we get that type of production again, he will hit value without much trouble.
Jonathan India ($3,400)
Jeimer Candelario ($2,800)
Two Tigers in one article? A reminder that even bad teams can bring you value in DFS. Candelario has a double in three straight games, and five total hits in those three games as well. The Yankees are going with a pitcher who hasn’t started since last September, so we could see another nice game from Candelario.
Nelson Cruz ($5,000)
The ageless wonder that is Nelson Cruz continues to impress. He has back to back games with a double, and continues to be a threat each day. It’s hard to imagine that we would look at a 40 year old player and note that they haven’t hit a home run in five games, he is due, but here we are.
Tommy Pham ($3,400)
Pham has four straight multi-hit games. In those games he has a double and a home run and two steals. You won’t find too many players who can give you a home run and a steal a Pham’s price.
Alternative Moves…
Rafael Devers – 3B ($4,300 DK) If you are optimistic that the Red Sox play today, then Devers is worth a look. He has multi-hit games in two of his last three games, and has a SLG of 1.000 in his last four games, and you’re getting him at a price that won’t break the bank.
Brandon Woodruff– P ($10,100 DK) There is a case to be made that Woodruff is the better play than Scherzer today. Woodruff has a sub-two ERA, and is also very capable of giving you a ten strikeout game, and he will come at a slight discount.
