The parity in matchups today is something else. There are a couple games where it might seem like there will be an obvious victor but we are not going to call any of them. Today’s focus will be on setting a very high bar with only one cheap guy that we are interested in.

Leon Draisaitl is off of the top line again but we kind of like his linemates better than McDavid’s. You know we love Poolparty but Nugent-Hopkins is back after an extended absence and Yamamoto could stand to have a big game. Drai will make that happen.
Eeli Tolvanen’s star continues to rise. He is a big reason for Nashville’s push into the playoffs and he is going to continue to produce. We are not high on a lot of their guys due to middling success across the board but guys like Tolvanen and Kunin give them much needed depth.
Darnell Nurse. We are sticking to our guns and going after Nurse again. We try to avoid guys that do not do well for us lest we get double bamboozled but Nurse has a big game coming up and we will not be missing it. Until it happens he is in our lineup.
Alex Nedeljkovic should get the nod tonight as Mrazek is still out. The Hurricanes management has done a fantastic job of getting depth where they need it the most. They have a surplus of amazing defensemen and they are not short on goalies either. That Alex is their backup is a testament to how good their front office is.
Now what do you get if you sign up for $99 now
- A modest promotion to the top line from an unheralded center
- Maybe one of the best even strength scorers in the league
- A throwback to our most consistent defenseman
Here’s an eclectic lineup For DFS Hockey 4/26/21 (using DraftKings Values)
Center | L. Draisaitl | $8,500
Center | T. Hertl | $5,500 | |
Wing | F. Vatrano | $4,800 | |
Wing | E. Tolvanen | $4,400
Wing | A. Athanasiou | $4,100
Defense | D. Nurse | $6,300
Defense | Q. Hughes | $5,600
Goalie | A. Nedeljkovic | $8,100
Utility | S. Lorentz | $2,500 |
Tomas Hertl – C has been bumped to the top line in San Jose. It is not the highest distinction in the league but he could be the top center on a lot of teams. He is still consistently producing on a weak team and should get a few more minutes on ice to show what he is capable of.
Frank Vatrano – W is one of the league’s best goal scorers at even strength. He has over twice as many goals as he does assists which is absurd. With Verhaeghe still out, Vatrano is now up on the top line with Barkov which makes his value even more incredible.
Andreas Athanasiou – W is another guy who is up on a top line and has a great matchup for the entire week! The Kings play the Ducks four times this week and we are going to exploit that as much as we can. It will not be today but we will be going after Cal Petersen soon enough to backstop an emerging team that has success written all over the next couple years.
Quinn Hughes – D. Oh how we have missed Hughes. Back in the day before the Canucks were devastated by Covid we could always rely on Hughes to get us an assist. It is about time we put him back in the lineup to get us that sweet, sweet apple.
Steve Lorentz – U. Who? Someone got himself some time on the top line in Carolina. Not only that but Svechnikov is back up on top with Sebastian Aho. If this guy wants to stick around the league then tonight is the night.
