The Buffalo Sabres are going to finally debut Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen. He has been a project goalie for a long time and we are excited for him. That said, he is going to get shelled tonight. The goaltender across from him hails from the same country but is miles ahead and is behind one of the most potent offenses in the league. We hope to see UPL get more ice time but he is going to learn very quickly what is in store for him.

Patrice Bergeron had five shots and an assist last night against the Buffalo Sabres. The captain of the Bruins is a steady presence in all areas of the ice. He is as likely to get a shot on goal on the penalty kill as he is five on five. He does everything and is one of the most respected players in the entire league.
Brad Marchand is respected for his scoring prowess but not as much for some of his antics on ice.He is an agitator and is really good at getting under the skin of opponents. After last night’s win expect some swagger from him and Pastrnak. Bergeron will continue to be Mr. Cool regardless.
Adam Fox has worked his way into the conversation for Norris finalist. He is one of the best defensemen in the league and is a huge reason for the Rangers success. They may be on the outside looking in to the playoff picture this year but this guy is going to sell a lot of jerseys.
Tuukka Rask. Two U’s, two K’s, two points.

Here’s a salty lineup For DFS Hockey 4/23/21 (using DraftKings Values)
Center | P. Bergeron | $8,000
Center | J. Kotkaniemi | $3,400
Wing | B. Marchand | $8,100
Wing | J. Voracek | $4,300 | |
Wing | E. Tolvanen | $3,900
Defense | A. Fox | $6,700 | |
Defense | M. Dumba | $4,600
Goalie | T. Rask | $8,400 | |
Utility | Lafreniere | $2,500 |
Jesperi Kotkaniemi – C is developing very nicely in Montreal. He has been held off the scoresheet a little more than we are normally comfortable with but his assist last game gives us hope. That was a stepping stone to tonights game.
Jakub Voracek – W may be the most consistent player in Philly. His 34 points in 43 games have mostly come as a third line player which is frankly astounding. He has been bumped to the top line and we are all about that.
Eeli Tolvanen – W is the Nashville Predators best kept secret. He turned 22 yesterday and is already double digits in goals. Anytime we see someone who has more goals than assists we start paying close attention. This kid is going places.
Matt Dumba – D is one of the most physical defensemen in the national hockey league. He eats shots for breakfast. Before his pec injury a couple years ago he had a lot more offense to his game and we are hopeful that that is coming back. If not, he gives you the peripheral floor you are looking for.
Alexis Lafreniere – U. Similar to Voracek we are excited to see some top line minutes. You will hear the critics whine that the first overall pick in 2020 is not living up to expectations but the expectations were always too high. It was the same thing with Kaapo Kaako and Jack Hughes last year. There is too much of a rush to get guys in when they deserve time to develop in the minors. He will get there, just be patient.
