NHL DFS Picks For April 21, 2021

Fluerry + Pacioretty DFS
LAS VEGAS, NV - FEBRUARY 26: Vegas Golden Knights left wing Max Pacioretty (67) and goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury (29) celebrate after defeating the Edmonton Oilers 3-0 during a regular season game Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020, in Las Vegas. (Marc Sanchez/Icon Sportswire)

Spencer Knight got his first NHL win in his first game and our main lineup knocked it out of the park. Our utility guy got a goal and an assist and Dougie continued to Dougie. The one thing that really burnt our biscuit was that we called the Islanders third line popping off and they did. Unfortunately, with no warning Wahlstrom was replaced by Bailey who scored two and got a helper. At least we got the narrative right!

Gird your loins for a tight four game spread tonight. The Minnesota Wild vs Arizona Coyotes is going to be a dogfight and we are staying away from that one. The Edmonton Oilers and Vegas Golden Knights have the highest chance of winning and we will probably toss one or two in from the Nashville Predators who get the slight boost over the Chicago Blackhawks.

Here’s a spartan lineup For DFS Hockey 4/21/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterC. McDavid$9,100
Center
WingM. Stone$7,000
Wing
Wing
DefenseD. Nurse$6,500
Defense
GoalieM. Fleury$8,400
Utility $4,400

Connor McDavid and the Oilers have a nice matchup against a Canadiens team that is having a rough go of it. They lost Carey Price for at least a week due to concussion and have been struggling to score points. Jake Allen is a fine backup but Edmonton will be turning the screws tonight.

Mark Stone does not get enough love in our articles. We always lean towards Pacioretty but the captain of the Knights is having a stupendous season. He scored a goal last game where he stripped the puck off a defender and roofed it. His linemates were going off for a change and he just did that by himself.

Darnell Nurse has not scored in a surprising number of games and it is not for a lack of trying. He has 22 shots in his last five games. That means he is averaging over four shots a game as a defenseman in that period. You cannot hold this guy back for much longer. We will be going after him until he scores that next goal because the dam is about to break.

Marc-Andre Fleury should get the nod tonight since Lehner won the last game. This tandem is probably the best in the league right now and they are just trading wings. The Knights are stomping everything in their path and there are no signs of them slowing down.

Here’s a spartan lineup For DFS Hockey 4/21/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterC. McDavid$9,100
CenterK. Dach$3,700
WingM. Stone$7,000
WingJ. Puljujarvi$4,200
WingL. Kunin$3,100
DefenseD. Nurse$6,500
DefenseLarsson$3,400
GoalieM. Fleury$8,400
UtilityTuch$4,400

Kirby Dach – C is playing well after missing the beginning of the season with a broken wrist. He is on a line with Alex DeBrincat who is over a point per game, which we are sad to admit we did not even realize. This kid’s potential is through the roof and even though we said we were not going after Chicago today we do feel good about his chances.

Jesse Puljujarvi – W could fit the entire Canadiens team in his mouth if he wanted. He does not just smile ear to ear he smiles rinkwide. He is having an absolute blast out there playing with McDavid and is one of the funnest stacks you can put together.

Luke Kunin – W. We are not sure why he is not getting power play time right now because we feel like he deserves it. With only 12 minutes of ice time last game he scored a goal and an assist so we expect his minutes to climb back up.

Adam Larsson – D is not a noted point scorer. He will however give you a solid floor with his peripherals and with the matchup at hand he may even factor into an assist. Will it be a primary assist? No, it will likely be a secondary but it counts on the scoresheet the same.

Alex Tuch – U. We put Tuch on the back burner after he moved back down to the third line but he has bounced back up to the second so we are going after him again. He puts tons of shots on net and is blossoming into one of the next best power forwards in the league.
