We have an 11 game NBA DFS slate tonight and we have a ton of different things to breakdown. There is a solid amount of value tonight, however most of the best plays on the slate are closer to the top. There are not as many obvious cheap plays tonight, but we have targeted a few guys under $4,000 with some great upside. Our strategy for the night involves an aggressive stars and scrubs lineup, as we want to fit several superstars in our roster. We are targeting a few studs with great matchups and situations tonight, who could be in line for massive performances.
Here’s a stars and scrubs lineup For DFS Basketball 3/29/21 (using DraftKings Values)
Point Guard | J. Harden | $10,900
Shooting Guard | B. Thomas | $3,300
Small Forward | D. Avdija | $3,400
Power Forward | $8,600 | ||
Center | $9,900 | ||
Guard | $3,800 | ||
Forward | $3,100 | ||
Utility | K. Walker | $6,800 |
The first superstar we want to highlight today is James Harden. Harden has been a phenomenal DFS producer for a long time and his role in Brooklyn is great. He is leading the league in assists by a solid margin and is a top scorer as well. The Nets have a great matchup against the Timberwolves tonight, and we do not expect Harden to see any defense capable of slowing him down. Harden went for 77.5 FPTS last game and he shot the ball 30 times in 42 minutes. Harden is averaging 57.9 FPTS per game this season and is too cheap at his $10,900 price tag.
As we mentioned, we want to squeeze multiple superstars into tonight’s lineup. In consequence, we are looking for some super cheap plays tonight to pay up with. Brodric Thomas is the talk of the town today at only $3,300. Thomas scored 18.3 FPTS but he saw a massive role in the starting lineup. Thomas played 31.1 minutes and he shot the ball 8 times. Thomas should be able to easily smash value if he is to see similar floor time. At this price, Thomas is a great play if he is in the starting lineup again tonight.
Another cheap option that we like getting to tonight is Deni Avdija. Avdija, does have a somewhat low floor, however tonight he is cheap at only $3,400 and his minutes look solid. Davis Bertans is out, and Bradley Beal is questionable, so Avdija should be in for solid floor time tonight. At this price, we do not need much from Avdija to hit value and fit into our stars and scrubs lineup. Avdija scored 18.8 FPTS last game, and that is all we need from him here tonight.
We just got the news that Jaylen Brown is going to be out for the Celtics tonight. There will be a lot of extra usage going around in Boston tonight and we know they only have a few guys who like to take a lot of shots. Kemba Walker is too cheap at $6,800 for his upside tonight as we expect him to be a massive usage recipient. Walker scored 37.5 FPS last game and is averaging over 35 FPTS across the past ten days. We expect Walker to get a solid boost without Brown and he could be one of the best plays on the slate for his price.
Now what do you get if you sign up now?
|• More Superstars who are in great positions tonight
• A few cheap options to create salary
• Access to our core FanDuel lineup!
Jayson Tatum – PF (8,600 DK) Along with Walker, we expect Tatum to be consuming all of the Boston’s usage without Brown tonight. This is a great price for Tatum in general, as he is averaging 44 FPTS per game and we have seen him much more expensive for most of the season. Tatum should be the clear number one option without Brown tonight and he has some of the best upside in the slate. Tatum went for 57 FPTS just a few nights ago, and he is too cheap for having this sort of upside.
Karl-Anthony Towns – C ($9,900 DK) The reason we need so much value tonight is to fit Towns in the same lineup with Harden and Tatum. As they all have massive upside for this slate. The Timberwolves have a great matchup against the Nets tonight, and the matchup is specifically favorable for Towns. The Nets are the leagues worst defensive squad against opposing Centers, and we expect Towns can run through the Brooklyn frontcourt tonight. Towns has been on fire lately and he went for over 56 FPTS just last game. Towns has scored over 56 FPTS in three of his last four outings, and we expect tonight to be another big game with this matchup.
Saben Lee– G ($3.800 DK) The Detroit Pistons are severely undermanned in terms of guards tonight. We saw Lee get a solid minute’s boost last game, and he scored 25.25 FPTS. At this price, we do not need much from Lee, but the upside is there. Lee has had solid performances when the minutes were there for him this season and Detroit does not have many other options tonight. Lee played well last game and we might see him get the start tonight. The Pistons should have to play Lee over 20 minutes again and he has upside for huge floor time.
Luke Kornet – F ($3,200 DK) It is hard to fully know what to expect out of Kornet, as he has only played one game as a Boston Celtic. Kornet only played 13.1 minutes last game and scored 16.3 FPTS. However, we expect Kornet to play more minutes tonight and he has upside for a solid performance. The Celtics are extremely undermanned at the center position and Kornet should stumble into more floor time. At this price, Kornet opens a ton of room elsewhere and is a solid punt unless much more value opens elsewhere.
Here’s a stars and scrubs lineup For DFS Basketball 3/29/21 (using FanDuel Values)
Point Guard | K. Walker | $6,800
Point Guard | S. Lee | $3,700
Shooting Guard | J. Harden | $11,300
Shooting Guard | B. Thomas | $3,600
Small Forward | D. Avdija | $3,600
Small Forward | O. Anunoby | $6,600
Power Forward | J. Tatum | $8,500
Power Forward | H. Barnes | $5,800
Center | K. Towns | $11,300 |
OG Anunoby – SF (6,600 FD) Anunoby has been great lately for the Raptors. He has scored over 30 FPTS in five straight games and has been receiving massive floor time. The Raptors have a good matchup with the Pistons tonight, and we expect another solid game from Anunoby. The Raptors have a bunch of questionable tags tonight, and we like getting someone from Toronto on our roster in case they get some extra value.
Harrison Barnes – PF ($5.800 FD) This is a great price tag for Barnes who we have seen a lot more expensive earlier in the season. Barnes is somewhat inconsistent, and I may look elsewhere for cash games as Barnes has not been great lately. However, his price has come down and we are able to roster Barnes under $6.000 tonight. Barnes has great upside and is still averaging over 30 FPTS per game this season. Barnes production will come back up at some point and he will smash a few slates before his price follows suit.
Have fun tonight, make sure to check the news as we still have a lot of guys listed questionable.
