We are following last nights monster slate with a more manageable five game contest tonight. There is much less value than we are used to this season, and we have to be much more careful with our salary. Our strategy for tonight involves targeting a midrange build, as the budget plays under $5,000 are quite ugly today. There are still some superstars out, but most teams today have been priced up due to lingering injuries. Our lineup today consists of a few players who should be getting extra opportunity tonight, as well as some of the price tags we really like on the slate.
Here’s a midrange lineup For DFS Basketball 3/25/21 (using DraftKings Values)
Point Guard | J. Poole | $6,100
Shooting Guard | P. George | $7,800
Small Forward | K. Oubre Jr. | $6,200
Power Forward | $3,700 | ||
Center | $8,000 | ||
Guard | $8,700 | ||
Forward | $6,300 | ||
Utility | M. Wagner | $3,100 |
Jordan Poole has had a lot of the value priced out of him, as he is all the way up to $6,100. However, this slate is absolutely deprived of upside and Poole is still too cheap for the monster role he has seen without Steph Curry. In three games without Curry, Poole has played 34, 38 and 39 minutes, trending upwards. It is fair to expect Poole to see massive floor time again tonight and he is a high usage player. Poole has shot the ball at least 15 times in each game without Curry and is averaging 34 FPTS in that span. We want to target the Warriors matchup with the Kings on both sides tonight, and Poole gives us a good share of the floor time.
We do not have the ability to roster a lot of our typical favorite studs today. In consequence we look to cheaper less consistent stars with similar upside like Paul George. I try to make my lineups consistent for success in all contest types, and that causes me to often avoid George. This is because he is one of those players who always has a low floor no matter how good the situation looks. However, George has some of the best upside on this entire slate and he is only $7,800 tonight. If George has one of his good performances at this price, he will be an absolute must to win big. George is averaging over 41 FPTS so he is underpriced tonight, which helps a lot with his floor. George is one of our favorite stud options as of now because of how well he works with our midrange style.
As we mentioned we are all over the Kings-Warriors matchup tonight. Kelly Oubre Jr is one of our favorite plays on the slate as he is way too cheap at $6,200. Oubre played a few games injured last week and saw limited minutes. This has caused him to be a bit cheaper than he should be. Oubre scored over 45 FPTS last game and the opportunity is there again without Curry. Oubre should take a ton of shots for Golden State today and is one of the few great options we have tonight.
If some more news breaks, it is not unlikely that I do not roster Moritz Wagner for my actual contests tonight. However, as of now there is almost no value to come by on this entire slate, and Wagner is somewhat solid for the price. Wagner has scored over 15 FPTS in each of his last four games, which is all we need for a play at $3,100 on a slate like this. Wagner is not an exciting play at all, but he allows us to focus on players with actual upside almost everywhere else.
Now what do you get if you sign up now?

Nicolas Batum – PF (3,700 DK) On another slate, Batum would be nothing more then a flier for tournaments in this spot. However, he looks like one of our only viable plays south of $4,000 as of now. Batum is averaging 21.6 FPTS per game this season which is all we need at this price tag. Batum scored 29 FPTS last game, but we are just hoping he can hit the 20 mark again tonight.
Bam Adebayo – C ($8,000 DK) Adebayo is one of our favorite studs to get to on the whole slate. He is too cheap tonight as he is averaging 42.5 FPTS per game this season. Furthermore, Sacramento is a perfect matchup for an athletic big like Adebayo and he should be able to have a nice night. Adebayo is averaging 42.1 over the last ten days and there is no reason to think he should score under 40 in a great matchup. Adebayo is one of the only plays tonight who looks like he should smash value at a high price.
De’Aaron Fox – G ($8,700 DK) Fox has been expensive lately, but it is justified with the upside he has showcased. Fox scored 50 FPTS last game and has done a lot more on his best nights lately. Fox has been dominant in fast paced matchups, which should be the case against the Warriors tonight. Fox has showed upside north of 60 FPTS tonight, which is awfully hard to come across tonight.
Harrison Barnes – F ($6,300 DK) Barnes is pretty cheap tonight as we are used to seeing him a bit more expensive. Barnes has a great matchup against the Warriors tonight and has showed some great upside all season. The Floor time has been great for Barnes lately as he has played 41 minutes in each of the last two games. Barnes should see a nice role tonight and we love his upside against Golden State.
Here’s a balanced lineup For DFS Basketball 3/25/21 (using FanDuel Values)
Point Guard | D. Fox | $8,900
Point Guard | J. Poole | $6,200
Shooting Guard | P. George | $8,200
Shooting Guard | A. Wiggins | $6,800
Small Forward | N. Batum | $3,700
Small Forward | H. Barnes | $6,000
Power Forward | B. Adebayo | $8,000
Power Forward | M. Wagner | $4,100
Center | M. Harrell | $7,500 |
Andrew Wiggins – SG (6,800 FD) Wiggins will have amazing upside if Curry is out. Wiggins has been slightly priced up in Curry’s absence but is still a great target for his usage upside. Wiggins has showed us upside north of 60 FPTS and will break a slate like this if he has that kind of scoring performance.
Montrezl Harrell – C ($7,500 FD) Harrell has seen his price rise a bit on both sites, but his production has been undeniable with the Lakers studs out. Harrell has been guzzling usage lately and has a solid matchup against the sixers tonight. Harrell s a fine option on both sites due to how productive he has been in his time on the floor lately.
Good luck everyone, Keep an eye on the breaking news as always.
