The Anaheim Ducks took a couple deep breaths of fresh air as two of their most promising rookies scored their first NHL goals. We went out and picked up Zegras and wish we had known early enough that Drysdale was playing. These two are going to have great careers and it will be interesting to see what the Ducks do with them for the second half of this season.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have had a five day vacation and should be very well rested for their tilt against the Calgary Flames tonight. They had been slipping a bit and we expect they took the time to make some modifications to their game. They also have a new face who we will be highlighting after the break. Stay tuned.

Defense | M. Rielly | $5,500 | |
Goalie | T. Demko | $6,900 | |
Utility | $3,500 |
Auston Matthews will be keeping this Rocket Richard race interesting. He and McDavid are battling back and forth while guys like Toffoli and Connor nip at their heels. Pastrnak is tied at tenth and is crushing his way towards the top. We are lucky to get to watch this play out.
Morgan Rielly has fought valiantly in the past few games trying to stem the team’s losses. Several blocked shots have given his fantasy value a nice boost. He still remains a power play threat as well.
Thatcher Demko has been standing on his head lately and is dragging the Canucks to wins. They do not offer the same goal support as other teams which is why Demko is so cheap but he has been seeing and stopping a lot of shots. He affords us another premier player.
Alex Galchenyuk is our reach today. He has worn many different jerseys at this point and no one is completely sure of where his skills actually lie. That said he is making his debut as a Leaf tonight and will start on the second line. Cheap money for a guy playing on John Tavares’ wing.
Now what do you get if you sign up for $99 now
- An elite winger
- A premier defenseman to complement Reilly
- Access to complete top fantasy advice for PGA, LoL, and much more
Jesperi Kotkaniemi – C. With Nick Suzuki being in a little bit of a funk Kotkaniemi has moved up to second line time. He has also earned some power play time along with Jeff Petry so he has a couple chances to do some damage. His stock is rising.
Artemi Panarin – W. We are a little surprised that Panarin did not end up with more points when the Rangers dummied the Flyers for nine goals. He did still get a goal and an assist which is nothing to sneeze at. He remains an elite player and a solid fantasy pick.
T.J. Oshie – W has been having a brilliant season. He is an absolute workhorse out there. He is currently rocking top line time in Washington and playing with Alex Ovechkin. We love this duo and what they can accomplish together.
John Carlson – D is cruising along his normal course. Shots, blocks, assists, and occasionally a goal. He is an indispensable part of the Capitals success. This should be an interesting matchup against a Rangers team that is finding some new life.
Joe Thornton – U. One more Maple Leaf for you. Rest is always going to benefit Thornton more than most. The veteran has some miles on his body but he is playing with Matthews and Marner. He will be getting back on the scoresheet sooner rather than later.
