Another great NBA slate to break down today. We have great value plays across the board and this season’s storm of injuries will continue. We have some great pricing on a few players tonight, and a few guys have not been priced up for there hot hands. We will be bringing you a midrange lineup for today, that targets underpriced tags at different price point. Hopefully, we do not get much more news, as tonight’s lineup perfectly uses the salary as of now.
Here’s a midrange lineup For DFS Basketball 3/17/21 (using DraftKings Values)
Point Guard | T. Satoransky | $3,800
Shooting Guard | $5,500 | ||
Small Forward | W. Barton | $5,400
Power Forward | K. Martin Jr. | $5,200
Center | N. Jokic | $10,800
Guard | $6,800 | ||
Forward | $6,700 | ||
Utility | $5,800 |
Chicago has been starting Tomas Satoransky lately and he has been great. Satoransky scored north of 30 FPTS in both of his starts thus far and is still only $3,800. It makes no sense that Satoransky has not been priced up more as he is clearly playing huge floor time. Satoransky looks like the best cheap value play on the slate right now. Expect high ownership in this spot, and I am happy following the chalk. It is hard to think of an outcome where Fading Satoransky really helps you tonight.
Last time around we pointed out how Will Barton had not been priced up for his recent role. That trend continues today despite a slate breaking performance from Barton. Barton gave us 43 FPTS last time and has been priced up a comical $100. He is now $5,400 despite averaging almost 40 FPTS over the last ten days. If Barton continues the trend, he will be another great value tonight. Barton has played over 30 minutes in six straight games and is just way too cheap for that kind of floor time.
KJ Martin JR. has been great since he came back from injury. He was a bit disappointing last game, but he still played massive minutes. Martin has played around 30 minutes or more for four games in a row. Martin is a decent per minute producer which means he is too cheap for this much time on the floor. Martin works great in our midrange lineup as he can easily give us the score north of 30 FPTS we need from him tonight.
Nikola Jokic has been the top fantasy producer this year and he is not even the most expensive. On most slates the past few months, Jokic has been one of the more underpriced players you can find. That is because Jokic is averaging 60 FPTS a game and he is constantly around $10,800 like he is tonight. This is a median expectation of 6x value, which is phenomenal for a high price player. Furthermore, Jokic has a great matchup against the Hornets tonight. Charlotte cannot defend Centers and we are betting on a big night from the Joker.
Now what do you get if you sign up now?
• Midrange plays with star upside
• A stud center we can play at forward tonight
• Different options to prepare for breaking news
Tyrese Haliburton – SG (5,500 DK) Haliburton was on fire before he got hurt a few weeks back. Haliburton returned three games ago and his minutes have been increasing steadily. Haliburton played 28 minutes last game, and we expect he is back over 30 tonight with Marvin Bagley out. Haliburton’s price will soon rise with the minutes, and this is our chance to roster him at a massive discount.
Kevin Porter Jr. – G ($6,800 DK) Kevin Porter is the name that has exploded in the NBA DFS community the past week and a half. Porter has only played four games since being traded to the rockets. He has scored well over 40 FPTS in three of those games, with one off shotting night. Porter should be in for even more usage tonight Victor Oladipo. This feels crazy to even write but Porter should be over $8,000 tonight. Porter is a core play for us tonight as he may be a must for cashing tonight.
Richaun Holmes – F ($6,700 DK) Holmes has been on an absolute tear lately and helped us cash big last slate. Holmes is averaging over 45 FPTS per game across the last ten days. What makes Holmes a smash play for us tonight is he was given PF eligibility. Holmes will be the center tonight, and it does not make sense he randomly got forward eligibility. However, Holmes is no longer restricted to the center and utility slot. Holmes is a great fantasy producer and there is no reason not to play him when he fits in so many position slots. The Kings play Washington tonight, and we want to get some pieces of that dream matchup.
Delon Wright – Util ($5,800 DK) This is an interesting spot because there are multiple strong plays at this exact price. Wright looks great as the Pistons are missing so many guards and he should be locked over 30 minutes. Wright appears to be fully recovered from his injury, yet his price has not caught up. Rui Hachimura has been on fire lately as well. Hachimura is a great pivot if Washington faces injuries once again.
Alternative Moves…
James Harden – G ($10,900 DK) The news just broke that Kyrie Irving will sit tonight. Harden is dominant as the only star on the floor and will have to do everything tonight. Harden has massive upside with monstrous triple doubles and a big game is likely coming his way tonight. Harden is a good spend up pivot off Jokic.
Good luck tonight, keep an eye on the news but I probably do not have to tell you that at this point in the season.
