Last week saw some pretty big highs and huge hits on picks. We are going to use that to finally come around to talking about the Ottawa Senators. They are a streaky team with a ton of young talent and so going after them is an interesting challenge. They had a fantastic win against the Toronto Maple Leafs last night and face a Vancouver Canucks team who have figured out how to stand on their own two feet. This is going to be a good tilt.

Brady Tkachuk is one of the most interesting hockey players in the NHL. We would never call him out for lazy effort but he seems to only be playing at 100%, if that makes sense. This guy has another gear and we have not seen it yet. He is biding his time smartly being the son of a legend. We may catch a glimpse of it tonight as the Sens try to put wins back to back.
Thomas Chabot hit his payday young and is going to enjoy the heck out of the next few years. With teammates like Tkachuk, Stuetzle and Batherson who just have fun out there there is a ton to love about the direction of this team. It is a couple years away but Chabot might end up in the Norris conversation.
Joey Daccord was supposed to be waiting in the wings for another year or two. He is a dynasty fantasy stash of ours that we were looking forward to watching develop in Belleville. With Murray and Hogberg being injured Daccord has jumped to the front of the line and is already shining. It won’t always be pretty but you can see the team plays for him.
Now what do you get if sign up for $99 now
- A free month (soon to be a week) of all-access to all of our article for all of our sports. $99 for the year after that. Also – all-access.
- A COVID forward who is trending up.
- A Buffalo player (yes, Buffalo) who demands your attention – not named Eichel.
- A sneaky $2,500 player that could eek into a top-line center tonight.
- Enough picks and alternates to fill out your lineup(s).
Alexander Barkov – C is fully back to form. He is leading the Panthers to the promised land and has not looked this good in over a year. It does not really matter who is on his line because he is a play driver. Verhaege and Duclair are solid in their own right and should help Barkov shut Chicago down.
Mika Zibanejad – C appears to be getting past his COVID issues and has been steadily improving his game. The Flyers will probably score a few goals but their goaltending has some issues. The Rangers should put up a couple themselves.
Victor Olofsson – W. Not everything in Buffalo is bad. Even without Eichel around Olofsson manages to get his points in. On another team he would probably be a point per game player. He will not get you a ton of points tonight but keep an eye on him.
Jake Debrusk – W gets a ton of flak from fans but this guy is good. Coach Cassidy may bench him for good reasons but to us the reason is he has elite talent and cannot figure out how to use it. We promise he will give it all tonight.
John Carlson – D. The cheap goaltender afforded us some big time defensemen today. Carlson is a force to be reckoned with. He will get shots and even if he is just feeding Ovechkin one timers he is a guy to own.
Philip Kurashev – U is listed as a winger today but we are seeing him as top center in Chicago. They have a tough matchup against Florida but goals against do not count in fantasy. For minimum price and having Patrick Kane on his wing there is not much thinking to do here. This is a gift.
Artemi Panarin – W has seen his price drop due to missing games for personal reasons. We are happy to see that he is back and are pumped to stack him with Zibanejad. This dude is on another level and should have a good game tonight.
We are changing up our format a bit because we give away too much good info for free. We really appreciate you being here and supporting us. If there is anything you need let us know on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX). Get out there and win you legend.
