DFS LoL LCS Spring Split Week 4 Day 3 Picks for February 28, 2021

IgNar Lol DFS

Sunday’s matches are all about avenging losses from the first round robin of the spring split. TSM is looking to take down FlyQuest, Team Liquid wants “Revenge” against Immortals, and 100 Thieves try and tie up first place.

Here’s partial lineup of underutilized players for February 28 on DraftKings and FanDuel

Mid LaneSoligo$7,400 DK, $9,200 FD
AD Carry

TEAM

Huni ($6,400 DK, $7,900 FD) seems to have revitalized his career with TSM. People were ready to write off Huni after 2020 and were confused when TSM announced he was their new start top laner. After the Lock In he was almost dead in the water, but his recent performances on TSM’s winning streak have brought him back into the good graces of TSM fans. Huni is willing to play whatever is needed for his team whether it’s a tank, carry, or support. His ability to play these full utility champions like Shen and Lulu have given TSM a unique element to their playstyle in their win streak.

With Pobelter looking shaky in his return to the CLG starting lineup, Soligo ($7,400 DK, $9,200 FD) is a great pick for Sunday’s matches. Soligo is actually the third highest scoring mid laner on DraftKings which makes him a great matchup against the tenth ranked Pobelter. Soligo has deviated from the norm of mid lane control mages with many Zoe and Twisted Fate games. Soligo focuses on helping his team around the map rather than demanding resources for himself.

IgNar ($5,800 DK, $7,400 FD) seems to be taking the Dardoch approach playing eight unique supports in eleven games. IgNar seems to be getting back on track after a slow start to the spring split that resulted in a 3-4 start for EG. IgNar seems to be returning to is form from FlyQuest last year in which he was one of the best supports in the league. While Vulcan, Aphromoo, Huhi, and CoreJJ are at the top of the support role, IgNar has brought himself back into the conversation.

FanDuel Lineup for February 27

MVPJiizuke$9,100 FD
Top LaneHuni$7,900 FD
JungleSantorin$8,900 FD
Mid LaneSoligo$9,200 FD
AD CarryDeftly$9,800 FD
SupportIgNar$7,400 FD
TEAMTSM$7,700 FD
Remaining Salary $0 FD

Jiizuke ($12,000 [MVP] DK, $9,100 FD) is the definition of a high risk high reward players. One day he looks like a god, others he’s single handily losing the game for his team (Remember that Lucian game he had where he dove mid tower twice?). Luckly, Jiizuke has a great matchup for Sunday’s against Golden Guardians and we will hopefully see god mode Jiizuke (Like his last two Orianna games).

Santorin ($7,000 DK, $8,900 FD) has crept up behind Blaber as the second best jungler in the league. Santorin’s early pathing and ganks seem to be perfect as he is always in the right place at the right time to punish opponents. He’s worked well with Alphari to win top lane through zoning and wave denial, not even needing to kill the enemy player to win the lane. Santorin should be able to shutdown FlyQuest’s only bright spot in Josedeodo with his picture perfect early games.

Deftly ($8,200 DK, $9,800 FD) has quieted down from his hot start to 2021. Despite Evil Geniuses’ inconsistencies through the spring split they had close game against Cloud9 and have an easy matchup against Golden Guardians. Evil Geniuses can sometimes get the better of themselves by reaching for engages or limit testing during games. Golden Guardians is the least proactive team in the LCS, not giving their opponents any opportunities to fight in the early game and are often down due to their players weak individual skill relative to the rest of the league. This should prevent EG from beating themselves up and get Deftly going again which was what made them so successful in the Lock In tournament.

At the end of week four TSM ($5,400 DK, $7,700 FD) has the chance to either gain sole possession of second place or sit in a three way tie for first. TSM continued their winning ways against CLG winning through macro and teamfights while being down ocean soul and elder dragon. Normally TSM has been the team to fall behind in the early game and mid game teamfights, then claw their way back through objective control and Spica winning 50/50 smite battles. TSM’s game against CLG proved that they can play against their playstyle just as well as they can play it. FlyQuest has been a mess and TSM should avenge one of their only losses in the first round robin.

DraftKings for February 27

MVPPerkz$10,800 [MVP] DK
Top LaneHuni$6,400 DK
JungleSantorin$7,000 DK
Mid LaneSoligo$7,400 DK
AD CarryLost$7,400 DK
SupportIgNar$5,800 DK
TEAMDignitas$5,200 DK
Remaining Salary $0 DK

Perkz ($10,800 [MVP] DK, $9,500 FD) has great value as an MVP on DraftKings as he’s only the tenth most expensive option while being second best in average points per game. Since the second game of week two Perkz has turned it on and has become the player that everyone expected him to be after coming over to North America from G2. Perkz averages the second most kills per game in the entire league, which is first in his role and is also second in assists per game in his role. He plays a very bloody, aggressive game as he’s up in gold and experience at 15 minutes while being even in CS. It just goes to show how active Perkz is outside of his lane looking for kills.

Another TSM win, another Lost ($7,400 DK, $9,500 FD) Kai’sa game. He improves to 6-1 on the champion in the spring split and I’m still wondering why teams are allowing it through the draft phase against TSM. Kai’sa is the best AD carry champion in the meta right now and it being Lost’s best champion makes it a must ban against TSM. However, FlyQuest often draft around Josedeodo, utilizing many of their draft resources around securing him a good jungle matchup. Unless a completely new draft strategy comes out against TSM, Lost could be getting another Kai’sa game.

With all this discussion around the Import Rule in North America, (We won’t even bother going down that rabbit hole) Dignitas ($5,200 DK, $7,800 FD) is the cinderella story of the LCS. Dignitas is fielding five native North American players sitting two games out of first place and have been competitive against the top teams which include many import players. Dignitas had a razor close game against 100 Thieves and could easily be tied for second. It’s unfortunate that whichever team is playing CLG is therefore the best team pick but CLG just can’t execute in the mid and late game and are often blundering away their great early game.
