Tonight’s slate is absolute bonkers. It is a great day to spread yourself across a few lineups, as there are a ton of great plays to get exposure to. We have nine games today, it was supposed to be eleven, but our routine postpones have chimed in. Nevertheless, there is no shortage of value today and a lot of guys are in great positions. The challenge for today will be deciding between numerous strong options. This kind of slate can be tough for single entry tournaments and Cash games, but we have picked out some targets that stand out above the rest tonight. We are going pure midrange tonight, as we can get great upside at every position.
Here’s a balanced lineup For DFS Basketball 2/19/21 (using DraftKings Values)
Point Guard | J. Morant | $7,400
Shooting Guard | $7,800 | ||
Small Forward | C. Osman | $4,800
Power Forward | P. Siakam | $7,700
Center | J. Valanciunas | $7,100
Guard | $6,100 | ||
Forward | $5,100 | ||
Utility | $3,900 |
One of the first things you may notice on tonight’s slate is multiple Memphis Grizzlies players are severely underpriced. Ja Morant has the lowest price tag we have seen on him since his return from injury. Morant is priced at $7,400 despite scoring over 51 FPTS last game and 46.25 FPTS the game before that. Morant has total control of the Memphis offence and has a good matchup tonight against Detroit. Morant is a core play as his price is perfect for our high-upside midrange build.
Don’t be fooled by the price that I got. I’m still, I’m still Cedi from the block. Cedi Osman was our favorite value play last game and we were correct with him taking a much bigger role in the rotation. After the Cavaliers scrapped Andre Drummond from the rotation, Osman got the start last game and played 40 minutes. He also scored just shy of 40 FPTS in that time. Osman should continue to get the start tonight and we believe he will be an essential piece of this team’s rotation moving forward. Osman has seen his price rise to $4,800, which is still far too cheap for the role he appears to be talking on for the Cavaliers.
The Toronto Raptors are our favorite target for tonight, as they are playing without Kyle Lowry and have an easy matchup with Minnesota. Pascal Siakam is in a great spot tonight as he gets a monster usage boost without Lowry. Siakam is priced at $7,700, which is not enough for his production on a normal day. Siakam scored 48.5 FPTS last game and well over 50 FPTS the game before. Siakam has been the starting center for the Raptors the last few games and has seen a nice production boost. If your new to NBA DFS, you always want to target forwards who are playing center as they receive a boost to rebounds and playing time. All the signs are pointing to another big game for Siakam tonight.
I mentioned earlier that a few Memphis Grizzlies are underpriced for tonight. The best tag on the squad is probably Jonas Valanciunas who is comically priced at $7,100. I had originally made a core lineup that did not include Valanciunas, but I moved things around as this price is just too good to miss tonight. Valanciunas is a smooth $1,000 shy of where he should be priced, as he is averaging over 40 FPTS through the last ten days. Tonight, the Grizzlies have a great matchup with the Detroit Pistons. Valanciunas is a fantasy beast but I probably do not have to tell you that, his playing style simply stuffs the stat sheet.
Now what do you get if you sign up now?
• More drastically underpriced Midrange play’s
• The best value option we have tonight
• More strong options for GPP
Fred VanVleet – SG ($7,800 DK) VanVleet is set to get the largest bump with Kyle Lowry out of the rotation. VanVleet should see a boost in his point guard duties tonight, as he is the only strong guard without Lowry. VanVleet has been on a tear, averaging over 41 FPTS on the season. VanVleet played 40 minutes last game without Lowry and should see similar run if it stays close tonight. The Timberwolves have no guards who can stay in front of VanVleet. VanVleet has some of the highest upside on the slate and is quite affordable.
Delon Wright – G ($6,100 DK) Wright has developed a huge role as primary point guard for the Pistons. Wright played 40 minutes last game and has played into the 30’s in each of his last six outings. Wright was slightly disappointing with 28 FPTS last game but is still averaging 34 over the last ten days. Wright gets major usage and floor time on this squad and is underpriced for his role.
Michael Carter-Williams – F ($5,100 DK) Carter-Williams should continue to get the starting point guard nod for the Orlando Magic. The Magic are facing a serious lack of ball handlers and Carter-Williams should be forced into solid usage. MCW played 30 minutes in each of his last two outings. MCW should crush value with that kind of floor time.
Guillermo Hernangòmez – Util ($3,900 DK) You probably know him as “Willy”, Hernangòmez will probably be the highest owned value play on tonight’s slate. That is because Steven Adams has been labeled doubtful, and Hernangòmez should get the start. Hernangòmez scored 33.75 FPTS last game and Adams was in. Hernangòmez would be a solid value play regardless, but he is an absolute lock if Adams is ruled out.
Alternative Moves…
Jayson Tatum– F ($8,800 DK) Tatum has a solid price tonight for a great matchup with the Hawks. Tatum is a solid play on this slate if everyone is healthy, as he is priced for medium production with a good matchup. However, if Jaylen Brown’s questionable designation turns to out, Tatum becomes one of the best spend up options tonight.
Jarret Allen – C ($6,800 DK) I need to take a moment to discuss the Center position tonight. There is a ton of opportunity cost for centers tonight, as multiple big men are underpriced by at least $1,000. A huge part of lineup construction tonight will be deciding which centers make the cut. I strongly suggest using the utility spot to pick up a second center on Draftkings. Especially if you are playing Cash games or small entry tournaments. Moving on to Allen, he is the only center for Cleveland since they scrapped Drummond and he will need to play massive minutes tonight against Denver. Allen played 29 minutes last game, but I honestly expect that he plays closer to 40 tonight as he is Cleveland’s only hope of slowing down Nikola Jokic. If you are not playing Allen, Rudy Gobert and Clint Capela are both underpriced for tonight as well.

Make sure to track the news, who knows what we will get with nine games.
Have fun tonight.
